Overall we enjoyed our stay but the lot next to us had a tent on it with garbage outside of it and full of trash. Looked like a drug tent from the city. We had a couple of dogs rip up our garbage because no one obeys the leash rule.

Campsite host was nice. Had to pay 10$ extra outside of what I paid on hipcamp bc apparently my site (c4) is listed on hipcamp with electric hookup but it’s not at the campground. Seems like a lot of people live here with questionable childcare practices as kids were running around at all hours of the day would not be surprised if DCS was watching the campground. The campground is in need of some serious TLC, cleanup and orginazation. No signage for the indiviual sites so it’s hard to find where you’re at or trying to go. Everything seems outdated and doesn’t seem that much upkeep has happened since the campground was built. The people that were staying there were very nice. I would suggest adding signage and having a group of 4 -8 people bust their ass for a week and clean up and organize the entire campground. The camp host was saying that I’m this is her first full summer running the place(not sure how accurate that is) but mentioned about wanting to have the bathroom floors painted, I would put that idea to the side and put some money into basic facility upkeep

Needs improvement
First off the people who work there were wonderful- kind, professional and helpful. Unfortunately my other first impression was that this was a run down campground. Junk sitting around as you enter, many sites seem to be used as residences (old campers and tents adding to the sketchy vibe), concrete bathhouse (was kept clean), old playground equipment (like from the 60s old). My tent site was fine, on the pond which was really green (can't be helped), had picnic table and firepit. Unfortunately it was between some campers and the pond and a play area so kids ran through my site often and at all hours :) At night the real fun started with music, laughing, talking, drinking etc. On Friday it went until 4am. On Saturday it ended earlier (after midnight) because there was a thunderstorm. So overall I think it depends on what campground experience you are looking for- if you want to drink with your friends and let your kids run free you'll love this place. If you want a litte peace and quiet you will not be happy. Lots of simple improvement could be made if the owners wanted to invest in this place. The staff was great I imagine they could run a top notch campground with support. Understanding that its a resort area and seasonal workers need housing and catering to them as well as the camping communities would be a good start. Driving in and seeing run down campers with junk all around them does not give a good impression of cleaniness and safety.

If you plan to camp here with a ten
This campsite may be fine for RV, definitely not for tents. I drove to campsite around 9pm and lady at the entrance was super nice and gave necessary details. It was challenging to get to the site and when I found the site, I couldn’t get there coz someone else had camped on the way to the spot reserved. The lady at the entrance offered another spot which was occupied by someone else. We ended up setting up our tent outside campground at the entrance for the night. Also, the flush toilet and bathrooms (no door just curtains) is 10-15 mins walk from the initially booked site. The toilets and baths were not great,, they can be maintained to provide better experience. I personally wouldn’t camp here again unless I have to sleep by a highway.

Great experience, Try it
This is an affordable, mid-size campground with a cool beach down the road. My campsite was among a line of other sites, but there weren't many people in my row this weekend. The showers worked well for me, and I saw the staff constantly working around the camp, so hats off to that. Audrey and her husband (I forgot his name sorry!) were also super nice to me!
