    Within a 60-minute drive from the Houghton Visitor Center.
    The Keweenaw Outpost is nestled near the shores of Lake Superior. With easy access to Houghton, Calumet, and Copper Harbor we are situated in the perfect location to explore the Keweenaw and all the outdoor adventures available. At the end of the day come relax on our 100-acre property and enjoy the breathtaking stars and even a chance to see the northern lights.The Lucky Clover Patch is the first campsite built at the Keweenaw Outpost. After clearing the campsite we decided to plant clover as the ground cover to encourage the local wildlife and pollinators to stay active in the area. The site includes a fire ring with a grill grate and cut logs for additional seating. While relaxing see if you can find any 4 leaf clovers at the site. Walking trails are available through the property via the main road. There is also a small creek that runs through our property located nearby as a great place to hang a hammock and relax. If you need any supplies the nearest grocery store is about 15 minutes away, while Walmart, Tractor Supply, and Harbor Freight are about 30 minutes away. Cellular Service is limited in the area so please plan accordingly.

    What a great spot to stay while exploring the Keweenaw Peninsula and the UP. I was able to easily park my 40' Skoolie and enjoy some much needed down time in the woods. It's easy to be in your own world here, or hop into a community project. Ryan, JoEllen, and Jim were great hosts and made me feel very welcomed. I loved the community meals, time spent around the campfire, corn hole, and an introduction to the game Kan Jam. I can't wait to see what this property becomes. Hardworking people bringing their vision to life!

    We travel in our self contained camper van with solar. This was a beautiful and peaceful stay away from the hustle and bustle of life. All the basic necessities met and the added benefit of sitting around the campfire with good people. We’ll definitely be back!
