"A" Pine Tree Site.
Very nice campsite, very private and peaceful. The pond is very pretty but a bit of a walk from site A. There was a picnic table present and trees good for hammocking.

Nice cozy site. Very generous host, was able to help get our fire started after we struggled for an hour.

"A" Pine Tree Site.
We had a great time camping on Chip's land. Our site (A) was tucked away a good distance from the other sites on the property. The ground was soft and perfect for setting up a tent- pine needles, grass & moss growing over very sandy soil. My 3 yr old boys loved fishing and swimming at Lake Leland- I've never seen so many baby blue gill! We would have loved to explore the trails a little more but we had our very old dog along and he can't hike much anymore. Our site had a fire pit and a picnic table. We would definitely stay here again if in the area! The nearby (20 min) Island park had an amazing playground, cool bridge over a small waterfall, splash pad, skate park and more.

The site was very secluded, and it is a nice quiet location. It is a little distance to the public porta-john and pond. The pond looked nice for fishing, or floating in a kayak, but didn't look inviting for swimming due to the mucky bottom and abundant weeds. If you're just looking for the isolation of a private site, this is perfect.

PHENOMENAL
AMAZING!! THIS is exactly what you would think of when it comes to the word camping!! The site is primitive but still offered modern amenities such as a stone fire pit, picnic table AND something you don’t see often, a fire poker!! It was easy to get to and from the campground seeing as it is only 20 minutes away from everything I needed to do this weekend!! I will DEFINITELY be coming back, Thanks again Chip!!
