Glamp Tent
The glamping tent was amazing and truly exceeded our expectations. The beds were clean and there were extra blankets. There was a heater, AC, and a fridge, which were very convenient to have. There were not a lot of other cabins so it was pretty quiet. The campsite was very close to Lake George. The host was very nice and provided very clear instructions on how to get to the campsite.

Glamp Tent
Fun Family Glamping
We had a great time Glamping on Rick’s land. The tent itself was more spacious than I had imagined and the king sized bed was so soft and comfy and perfect for me, my husband, and our 6-year-old to share . There were also two twin beds that we didn’t even use. We appreciated the fridge, fan, and AC, though we didn’t actually need to turn the AC on- the tent was well ventilated and stayed cool in the evening with the help of the fan. It was basically a nice (big!) hotel room, tent style.
The bathhouse was clean and I enjoyed having an actual shower before getting into bed. Rick even provided towels and some soap and shampoo.
There isn’t a toilet in the bathhouse (yet,) but the Portapotty was one of the least stinky and cleanest I’ve ever used.
We made a couple meals on the fire ring, which had a well placed cooking grate, and we enjoyed eating under the trees at the picnic table on our site.
We were also very pleased with the location in general. The campground is small and quiet with a path that leads down to the river- only a 5-10 minute walk. We were also able to get to a small grocery store in Canaan in about 2 minutes and Skowhegan was about a 10 minute drive. It’s also a short-ish drive to Waterville and approximately an hour to the Forks.
Overall, the whole family really enjoyed our time in Rick’s land and we would all highly recommend it to anyone who likes the idea of camping, but also loves comfy beds and electricity.
