Wildwood
Wildwood was amazing! Despite having chilly and rainy weather for most of our 2-night stay, we still had a terrific time. The scenery is stunning, and the location couldn’t be more peaceful. The campsite itself is very well designed, with everything you could need for a relaxed stay in the woods. And the host, Steve, is so nice and helpful! We can’t wait to go back to Wildwood!! ♥️

Wildwood
One of the greats!!
Well, it’s hard to put into words how great a spot Wildwood is. If you are looking for genuine solitude, this has to be one of the finest locations on the planet. Steve, or Host with the most, has such a special place. We are extremely lucky that he has chosen to share it with others. The thought that has gone into this hidden paradise, just incredible. Solar shower, handwashing sink in the outhouse, 2 bay sink in the kitchen….the full kitchen. Stock pots, frying pans, colanders…Propane stove with removable griddle top, you name it. Then there is sitting by the fire pit, lakeside on the dock…,this could take up a good part of your day. Nothing but the sounds of the lake and the trees. No humming of highways or light pollution at night. A really great place to unplug and reset. The tent is dry and cozy with a little wood stove(this part of the year, anyway) to take the chill off at night. And then there is Steve…fantastic host!! Great communication out of the gate!! Very informative. To visit Wildwood, you must be willing to put forth some effort. Steve left out zero details and prepared us for everything and anything. For example, he checked in to see what vehicle I was headed up with and strongly suggested I leave the Corolla at home, haha. Was very glad to have a 4x4 truck on loan as there are 7 or so miles of fairly rugged terrain. Again, Steve left nothing out and we were well equipped to stay safe and happy all weekend. Cheers to Steve!! We’ll be back!

Wildwood
Our family enjoyed a peak foliage weekend at Wildwood which also included 2 moose, lots of partridge and feeding the Canadian Jays out of our hands. Steve’s place was just as described with all the amenities to ensure a successful camping experience including a wood stove in the canvas tent, hot water/shower and all the kitchen essentials. Steve provided accurate directions and instructions for the stay. He was great about communicating from the moment we booked to the time of check out. Thanks Steve! We would also recommend taking advantage of the the added option of the float plane ride with Thomas from Wings, Woods and Water. It was an incredible experience, one our family will not forget. It was a beautiful way to see the Northwoods of Maine and learn about all its history.

Wildwood
Steve's spot on Flagstaff is perfect! Everything you need for light packing and comfort, but still feels like camping. Steve's communication was great - he set up the wood stove for us on request prior to our arrival and was available if we had any questions. We will be returning!

Magical Solitude
We loved camping here… even though we were off-grid it felt like glamping!! This was the perfect spot to bring friends and reconnect with nature from sunrise to sunset. This spot has the best view of the bigelow range I’ve ever seen! We swam in the lake had fires in the dock and deck and cooked delicious food in a well stocked kitchen. Everything was built respectful of the nature around. It was easy to find following Steve’s directions yet it feels remote and secluded. I would go back without hesitation and would stay longer. What a magical space to connect with!! Thank you Steve!!

Sweet Spot in the Bigelows
This is a really special spot giving you access to the Bigelows but also the beautiful lake and islands to explore. Wildwood is well appointed making packing for the trip a breeze. The turn on to the camp road is not marked so follow the instructions provided clearly. An awesome opportunity to get away from it all. Thank you for sharing this sweet spot!
