Hello & Welcome! Coos Canyon Campground & Cabins, solitude, and nature await you to find your adventure. Located two hours inland from the coast, we are nestled in the Lakes & Mountains region of Western Maine. People enjoy our destination campground for the abundance of vast land and experiences that surround us. ATVing, hiking, nature walks, swimming, fishing, kayaking/boating, and yes even, Gold Panning (Swift River is known for some of the cleanest gold in the US). Mornings are full of people getting ready to find their adventure. Afternoons are relatively quiet and evenings are filled with happy exhausted guests that like to take in the night sky and the smell and sounds of a crackling bonfire. "This gem of a place was everything we were looking for: wooded sites, privacy, solitude, a natural playground in an enchanting canyon next to a sparkling river — a place where you could leave all of the gimmicks behind and just...camp." Whether you're an explorer or a relaxer, Coos Canyon Campgrounds is the ideal base camp when you're ready to enjoy all the captivating beauty that the Coos Canyon and Swift River area has to offer. Bright sunny days and starry, starry nights. Choose from a variety of woodland sites nestled in the pristine forest and within walking distance of the sparkling Swift River. RV SITES Our RV sites can accommodate all makes and models — from massive to mini — with the most generously-sized lots tucked into our beautiful forest. Each location is the perfect place to break out the lawn chairs and dive into vacation mode along the tranquil Swift River. CABINS / RENTAL TRAILER Choose from 2 duplex-style, year-round cabins that sleep up to 6 people within walking distance of the rambling Swift River. Enjoy our clean, comfortable up-to-date cabins while experiencing the rustic beauty and many things to do in and near the campgrounds. It’s a beautiful view and nice cabin. The camp ground are pretty rough of the roots and big rocky everywhere. River is very low but nice cool off in swimming hole and clear water.
