This is a small honey bee farm . Cabin is between ten acres of windflowers and our 5 acre pond. You may see deer, otters, turkey, or even a bald eagle we saw once. Pets are welcome but you must select the optional per pet / per day fee under extras . This money goes to the cleaning lady .The perfect honeymoon or family-friendly quality getaway spot, nestled in the quiet countryside of Mt. Sterling, KY - with a beautiful lake just steps from your back porch. Take your family or friends canoeing, paddle-boating, fishing. End your stay with a campfire in the fire pit to make this an unforgettable getaway.  The Honey Hut has all amenities you'll need, including a fully-functioning kitchen, custom glass shower, air conditioning, heat, and TV.  The cabin is located among ten acres of wildflowers planted just for our honey bees. (Don't worry, they are not aggressive and the closest hive is 80 yards away from The Honey Hut.)  Request "The Honey Bee Tour" for just $10 more per group, in which the owner will allow your group an up-close and personal view of the honey bees, as well as an explanation about why the honey bees are so important, and why/how we should protect them. When the bees are in season, we might even have honey available for purchase!. We do charge an additional $15 per pet per night. Payable in cash. We give this to the cleaning lady.

Cozy little retreat. Took our toddler out on the pond in the pedal boat and she adored it. We didn't get to utilize the fire pit area, but were able to watch some baby birds leave their nest and learn to fly from the comfort of the porch. Wife has already suggested to make it an annual trip.

The view was beautiful. The cabin was spotless. Scot was quick to respond to questions. Him and his wife are incredibly nice people. My favorite part of the stay was feeding the farm animals. I would highly recommend this cabin to others.

Honey Hut?
“Hut” is a misnomer…the cabin is small but has lovely finishings. The kitchen is beautiful with nicer appliances. The bathroom has a beautiful step in shower. The bed was comfy. For us, the best part was the porch overlooking the lake…we watched birds, fish and otters until late at night. The entire area is beautiful! We were able to interact with the livestock (our choice not required) and it was so much fun. There is a canoe and a paddle boat but we were unable to use them this trip. We are hoping for another trip soon.

What a cool place WITH the coolest hosts ever! I got my van stuck in the mud and the host drove his tractor down to pull me out! I was ever so grateful. I would definitely stay here again!

Lovely!
The cabin is lovely, the view is amazing and it is wonderful to be able to take your dogs and hang out on an enclosed porch!
