Nice place to get away
When I arrived they treated me like family, offered me food & drinks. Then they took me around the proerty to show me the sites. I chose by the pond, the music of the frogs was very relaxing. There was another spot up on the hill but it was too quiet for me. My dog even got to meet some goats & play with them. It's nothing fancy, but it's definitely a place I will visit again. Cary & his family are great people, they definitely know how to show true southern hospitality.

What is there not to love? Cary welcomed us and helped pick the best spot for our needs. We had a bonfire and shared stories. Very very dog friendly! Our Shepherd had a blast. Cary welcomed us to his restaurant at Safe Harbor and even took us for a scenic boat ride on Lake Cumberland. Since we are moving to the area he wanted to show off Cumberland County for us, and it did not disappoint. We consider Carys family apart of our family now.

Private, beautiful farm with goats, cattle, horses and friendly dogs and cats. Gregarious, generous hosts brought us coffee in the morning and shared a mint julep as we watched the Kentucky Derby with them. He will drive you and your gear in a 4x4 to a site of your choice.

Family Farm Stay
Cary was a gracious and hospitable host who welcomed us to the farm as if we were family. He took the time to ask us what vehicle we were driving in order select the best camp site for our needs. They even waited up and warmly greeted us despite our arriving past dark! In the morning we awoke to a misty farm and took a scenic walk up the hill to find wild blackberries and honeysuckle growing. We wish we could have stayed longer to see all this farm and family had to offer. Thank you Cary and family for the Southern hospitality and great first visit to Kentucky!
