This was once a self sustaining farm built in the 1950s. The farm raised cattle, pigs, chickens. There was 35 tillable acres which produced corn and oats for the livestock. The farm had its own feed grinder in the old barn. There is an old hand built cooler room where all the meat was stored. There are four wells on the farm one of which is used for watering animals and cooling alpacas on hot summer days. One of our tent sites is in the corner of our alpaca pasture. You'll hear the roosters, goats, donkeys and more than likely, Rose, our Maremma livestock guardian dog, throughout your stay.

Chinquapin Tent Site
I was initially just looking for safe spot to camp for a night while roaming between all the covered bridge festivals. This turned into one of the best camping experiences I’ve ever had and I’ll definitely be coming back to visit Tracy and her lovely farm! The tent spot is beautiful and peaceful, overlooking the field with wide open space to see a ton of stars at night. Spent the next morning talking with Tracy about the farm and getting acquainted with all the animals. Such a great experience overall and exactly what I needed out of a quick weekend getaway.

Walnut Tent Site
Quaint and fun!
It was such a chill laid back environment. I loved it. The host is super genuine. Lots and lots of alpaca! I heard a donkey in the barn and woke up to a rooster. Super fun. The community fire pit area is really quaint with lots of picnic tables. The bathroom wad adorable too. They're working on installing a shower.

An amazing animal experince
We brought our two kids to camp at Aris Farm and had an amazing time with Tracy and all of her animals. She has 3 tent sites and we had our choice when we arrived. We chose the Walnut site which was great since it was a 3 minute walk to the modern bathroom and the barn and animals. Aris Farm is very near stores and restaurants, but when you go to the campsite it seems very remote and private. I love camping where you can be at your remote campsite and go get pizza and be back in 20 minutes! Aris Farm is a working animal farm with alpacas, llama, donkeys, goats, a bunch of dogs (Banjo was our loaner dog), pigs, chickens, ducks and of course farm cats. You have full access to feed and interact with the animals and Tracy was very generous with the treat bags for the animals. You should be aware that this is a farm, and as such there is poo, dirt, spiders and bugs etc. You are being given the opportunity for the full experience and it was great! This was a very special trip for us as we all love animals, especially the kids! We fed the goats, donkeys, miniature horse, alpacas and more. All of the animals were non-aggressive as they have been around people a great deal. Some were incredibly friendly, particularly Adele, the hungriest goat in Indiana and our favorite, Banjo! Tracy was a fantastic host, and this was a very special an unique experience, and we will definitely be back again! Thank you so much Tracy!

Enjoyed our stay! Animals were fun and the campsites are very private. One drawback is that the campsite isn’t accessible by car but Tracy helped us take our stuff on her tractor.
