We have 50 acres located in Southern Illinois 4 miles south of Murphysboro connected to 100 acres of Shawnee National forest.We set up a small family primitive campground for our family to enjoy every evening we ride our utv over from our house and watch the wildlife there are deer turkeys bobcats and many other small animal. Learn more about this land: Mostly suitable for Rv with generators and self contained unitsSurrounded by the scenic Shawnee National Forest, this location offers easy access to Big Muddy Brewing, various restaurants, shopping, and other attractions. It's ideal for RV campers with generators, and there are also primitive tent camping options. Pets are welcome—just be sure to keep an eye on the kids (kidding, of course)!

We had a great time during our stay. Aside from watching the eclipse, we took so walks on the property. The crowd was busy for the eclipse weekend,, I would recommend a visit during a normal weekend, as the property is close to many beautiful hikes. Host was welcoming and accommodating
