Angel Creek is a carefully manicured, forested primitive campground that provides an array of tent camping spaces suitable for couples, family gatherings, and everything in between. Owned and managed by the Garcia family, campers will undoubtedly recognize and appreciate the meticulous hard work and attention to detail dedicated to each site, hiking trail, and overall experience at Angel Creek.
Angel Creek Campground is a haven for nature lovers, offering a well-maintained and serene environment that's close to Starved Rock. Campers appreciate the clean facilities and the privacy of the campsites, often noting the attentiveness and kindness of the host, Omar, and his family. While the location is praised for its tranquility, some visitors wish for more activities beyond the campground. Overall, it's a welcoming spot for both seasoned campers and families, providing a peaceful retreat into nature's embrace.
Arrival - Very clear instructions. I ordered wood which wasn't there when I arrived but I sent and email and Omar hand delivered it! Site was well kept and ample parking for my SUV.
The campsites were a bit closer together than I would like but it was still a fine experience. If you want primitive car camping with minimal contact with other campers, probably not the best place. But if you don't mind that its a superb spot.
This was our second time tent camping at Angel Creek and it was even better than the first time! Angel Creek continues to be a well maintained campground with CLEAN port-a-potties. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a good place to camp with family or even friends
Very well maintained campground, friendly host, beautiful land. Our dogs loved it too! Campsite E was easy to find but off the main road enough to feel nice and private.
Incredibly clean and well maintained campground. Best bathrooms ever! Omar was welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. Only downside to the location is that there isn’t much to explore outside of the grounds. Go carts or canoeing are your two options.
We got a "Hike to site" site only a few feet away from our parked car. The campsite was private and was in a good area. The owners were friendly. I definitely would return.
