This exquisite and secluded property is located at the base of the Koʻolau mountains in Waimānalo. Surrounded by breath-taking views that will captivate and invigorate your spirit, this private property offers an experience that is one of a kind. With over 10 acres to explore, this regenerative farm is home to many fruit trees, indigenous plants, wild chickens, and other beautiful birds that you will likely spot while taking a stroll on our nature path. We have worked really hard to care for this ʻāina (land), and we are happy to share it with respectful travelers looking for a quiet, authentic, farm-stay experience. Camp Koʻolau provides bathrooms, a warm-water outdoor shower with an amazing view, and parking. Our farm is only a 5-minute drive to the beach, and 15 minutes from popular, Kailua town. As a working farm, we do have insects and geckos hanging around. So, it's not uncommon to encounter them. Also, we often have visits from wild pigs that come down from the mountain, so you may see them as well. Although we are certain you will love this place, please keep in mind, it takes a lot of hard work to maintain it. Thus, you will probably hear farm equipment and activities buzzing about (typically on the weekends). And, we want you to respect, love, and care for this place as much as we do by leaving it better than you found it.

Farmstay Unit 1
My wife and I loved the farmstay. My wife is 7 month pragnant while we visited Hawaii for the first time and stayed at Scooter's farm. The container home was beautiful and the backyard mountain views were streight out of Sci-fi. We loved how they gave personal touch to everything. Scooter's dad Kevin came to greet us while we arrived. And he shared all of his knowledge about the land Hawaii and their culture. His wife owns vegan restaurant a few min away from their farm, we both were vegetarian and we tried their food. It was affordable and extremely good. We met the guy named James who lives on their farm, and he is extremely knowledgeable about native plants, and Estern Ayurvedic herbs. He gave us grand tour of his herbal garden in the farm and gave us some fresh fruits to eat. Kevin was so sweet he dropped of his farm fruits on our doorstep and surprise us. We absolutely love these people and their stay. We feel like we both were in Aloha space! Wonderful...100/100.

Such a special place!
We had an amazing time staying here! The site has breathtakingly beautiful views and I will never forget showering looking up at those mountains - a core memory created! We met the owner Kevin who was so friendly and really kindly gave us a lift into town one day, and we also wandered around the farm and picked tangerines and star fruit. We spent quite a bit of time with James who lives on the site too, and had wonderful chats with him over dinner and he drove us to a nearby nursery and told us about all the local plant life. It was so special being able to meet them both and their kindness meant so much to us. We also loved the unit we stayed in and the bed was so comfortable. There was a lot of attention to detail and it really felt like a home away from home, only with a much better view outside our front door! We will definitely stay again next time, and I can't recommend it enough.

Amazing stay
Beautiful place right at the foot of mountains and with amazing views anywhere you look. The property has heaps of fruit trees which you are encourage to pick and eat. We stayed at one of the units and were very comfortable - we particularly appreciated the cofee and coffee machine . Both our hosts Scooter and Kevin were super friendly and easy to communicate with and we also enjoyed a good yarn with legendary James. Will definitely come back if we find ouselves in Oahu again !

Amazing cozy cabin on a magic farm
Such an amazing spot! The beautiful volcanic Mountain greets you as you open the door, and as you sit on the covered porch you can watch the ocean far in the distance. The cabin space is a converted shipping container so it's very well insulated, dry, and the decor is very bespoke, demure, and tasteful. Super comfortable bed, very quiet. We appreciated the bounty of fruits, and in the area there are lots of tropical plant nurseries which are really interesting to visit. This town is small and local, so make sure to come in a good way and be respectful when in town. However Kailua just 10 minutes away has all sorts of shops and restaurants.
