Camp here!
Wonderful stay! Anna and GDaughter were so welcoming and helpful. Pond is perfect. Much enjoyed walking ranch and seeing all the animals. They have the best dogs on the ranch who were even kind and gentle with my little service dog, who sometimes doesn’t quite understand how to play freely while still technically on duty. Felt very safe. Also felt very private the branch and the area around the pond and even down Spring Lane makes you feel like you’re in a park while also on a Ranch. We loved it so much for returning this weekend.

Felt completely unwelcome by day 2
Rented two sites to accommodate vehicles and make sure there were plenty of room to set up several tents. The host was rude and pretty much came to repo fire ring and plastic end table/chairs the second day of stay that we’d borrowed from another site.(not occupied at time). The sites are not as described and the host lost her wits on the second day. This was the absolute worst camping experience I’ve ever came close to having.! We made the best of it since we were already set up and had been looking forward to everyone catching up but it made for a really awkward camping trip. I thought after the first night that this would be a memorable trip and it was for sure but not like I’d ever anticipated. First night great with making do as you sometimes just do on camping trips but by the second day and the hostility about fire ring that we should have had to start with. This really hurt my heart being our first experience at a hip camp. I’m just at a loss why we were treated the way we were. There’s not enough space to go into full detail.

Wrong turn!!!
The drive in was a lil tricky and bumpy but all was well because I figured it was from the previous weather. I reserved two camping spots to assure room for multiple tents and vehicles, as everyone was arriving at separate times and we wanted to adhere to the 2 vehicle per site policy. There were no tables, fire pit in our area at all which was not the way the sites are described.. It was a lovely spot so we decided to make the best of it…until the second morning when I was awakened to the host being very rude to my adult daughter about the fire pit and plastic end table/couple of chairs we got from a neighboring camp site(not occupied at time)since we literally had nothing but grass and huge beds of fire ants at both sites I’d reserved. The host tried to say we were in numerous plots but they were clearly marked that we were only in two which I paid full price for, as she added in that she’d gave us a deal. This is not like anything I’d ever experienced and we’re all avid campers. My daughter and her bf took the still extremely warm fire ring, table and chairs back to the other area and we made do but it made the rest of the stay extremely uncomfortable. I’d already let the awkward message wanting to know#of campers we had in group and she wasn’t charging extra just being nosey, we ended up with 5 which was well within posted rules,. I’m not sure if there was a racial issue but our first visit to a hip camp and probably our last if this is the way hosts are allowed to act.

Wouldn’t Return
Before booking, we confirmed what all we would need to take so we wouldn’t be without in the primitive camping area. When we got to our two assigned plots we did not have a campfire area or chairs/picnic table as the listing described. It was not told to us we had a common area and the host was rude about us getting a private fire pit from the next plot over even though it says that we would get one on our own space that we paid for. I will not be returning because the host came marching to our plot demanding to take the chairs and tables back over to another plot which I still don’t know why you did that, but anyways this was her problem for not informing us of anything and being misleading. The place is also worn down, not worth the price whatsoever. The photos do not match that area either and need to be updated. Actually getting there and driving to the area is horrible so be careful for the deep holes your car can get damaged.

We had the most amazing time ,Everyone was so laid back and accommodating! My favorite part was when Angel Face (the sweet dog) decided to sleep with us in the tent. The land and the horses are beautiful! I would 100% staying here!

Great place and friendly staff. I stayed here for two nights while working hurricane damage in the area. It was a quiet location.
