This is my childhood homeplace that consists of beautiful acreage in the Central Florida area of the Sunshine State. This wonderful spot is located between Orlando and Daytona Beach with lots of activities within minutes. Restaurants, breweries, swimming, boating, hiking and biking trails galore. Theme parks are less than an hour drive. Three large airports minutes away. Great area to watch rocket launches when the weather is clear. It can be very loud when the Sanford airshow is taking place. Potential viewing spot. Beautiful sunsets over a well stocked catch and release fish pond as well as wildlife and bird watching sets this beautiful Central Florida spot apart.Location, location, location. Simple parking spot with privacy off the main road. No frills. There are beautiful woods, shrubs and pasture land along with a small, stocked pond for feeding fish. This is my childhood homeplace and we do live on the property. This spot is located in Central Florida between Orlando and Daytona Beach. We are close to beaches, theme parks, airports, restaurants, breweries, wildlife sanctuaries, sporting event venues, University of Central Florida and more.

Kathy's place was nice! And Kathy is sweet as can be. I was initially unsure if I had the right spot as there is a large open garage type area with lots of storage items and cars, and a bright yellow hued light shining at night which are not shown in pics or mentioned. It was nice for seeing what was around me though. There was also a big white van parked in the driveway loop which made me unsure if I was in the right place, and a little nervous as I was travelling solo. The owner eventually came out and climbed into the van and drove away, but had stared at my car a bit first, probably not knowing who I was either! Last thing was there are a couple of trailers on site which I wasn't sure if they were occupied or not. I didn't want to back my car up too close to them, but there was plenty of room for me still. From the photos I was just expecting to be out with the trees alone but found myself wondering if other people were around me, and it did creep me out a bit admittedly. But no one bothered me and it certainly was quiet and peaceful. I gave Kathy a call to confirm I was where I needed to be and parked correctly and it was great when she assured me all was well. Overall I'd recommend as a safe spot for sleeping but in case any other solo travelers are looking, just wanted to give a heads up about those few things. Kathy was more than accommodating and even had a hose and electrical available for me if I wanted! I will likely stay again sometime on my way through the area!
