Area 61 is a natural 5 acre property with a creek that feeds into the Peace River. We have many different types of wild life that visit including white tail deer, turkeys, alligators, otters, armadillos and all types of birds including owls. We also have access to the Peace River for canoeing and kayaking trips. Along the creek we also have several terraced waterfalls that provide a wonderful wetland area for the wildlife.

The property is very well maintained even with the recent hurricanes passing. We saw many deer wondering around which is always pleasant to see. Nice and quiet property near the Peace River. Great for a quiet weekend. Will be coming back!!

Highly Recommend
My sister and I booked Area 61 for a weekend get away. The host, Joe, was extremely accommodating, thoughtful and he is so creative and handy! He has put together a beautiful slice of paradise on his property and we are so grateful he opened it up for hipcampers to enjoy. There is a never ending supply of wildlife that visit the campers all throughout the day. The front area has swinging hammocks, an outdoor shower and all sorts of other conveniences.. including a bathroom with a sink. Thank you, Joe for such a wonderful experience. We will visit again! I wish I could give 11/10 stars for you going above and beyond as a host.

Water, electric with beautiful trails in every direction! Bathroom running water, flush toilets. Everything was well maintained and clean.

Unique Experience!
Very private and charming! Joseph (host) was exceptional and was great to chat daily with! Be aware that there is only one restroom on site and it's unique (no light inside!). Also, the shower is outdoors with very little to no privacy (this was a bit challenging, requiring a DEEP breath to strip and shower without walls and folks walking past). I'd strongly suggest adding more shade panels to offer privacy. We got to see baby turkeys, deer, and even the resident alligator - Joseph can offer suggestions for best viewing times! All in all, the property is very unique and we're so glad we visited. Be flexible and openminded and you'll have an amazing time!

I loved that place, it’s very safe , calm and relaxing. If you think of visiting camp I highly recommend!!! It has everything for comfortable living!!! And Joseph is very polite and very friendly. It’s a pleasure meeting you and appreciate you hospitality . Wish you all the best and new wonderful travelers .
