Lydcott Glamping was the first in the UK to acquire the Estonia-built cabins, with husband-and-wife team Emma and Rich seeking out something a little different to the usual shepherds huts or bell tents. The head-turning look of the cabins is complemented by their stylish and modern interiors, with each cabin colour-coordinated from its cutlery to its bedsheets. Look out the window and you’ll see the sea, and after a five-minute drive, you can go and take a dip in it – Seaton is the closest beach and a popular spot for both swimming and watersports, with kayaks and paddleboards available to be hired right from the coast.

For one, it's still a working farm, so you can expect to be greeted by one of the 45 chickens – yes, that’s forty-five – that roam around. No need to bring your own eggs, then, as there will be more than enough to pick up here, next to an honesty box also reserved for the firewood you can buy for your firepit. You can also expect lovely personal touches, such as a special welcome pack for your dog that includes a towel and a long tether for them to play outdoors, and a weatherboard that shows the forecast for the duration of your stay.
