Disclaimer: this is not a state park campground or an Airbnb, this is an off grid Homestead and I have lots of junk lying around such as tools, materials, equipment, etc., if this is not your style, please do not book. The directions provided by Hipcamp are not accurate. Please contact me the day before your listing and I will provide directions. 12 Acres in the Redwoods. Creekside. We have a private driveway with lots of secluded Space. lots of chickens usually an endless supply of eggs for breakfast. Small campfires available. Cabin renters have access to Hot showers, wood-burning stove, kitchen amenities and running water. Porta potty only The cabins are located Away from our living area. Main cabin is overlooking the creek and the tent sites, creekside cabin is down near the swimming hole and tent sites. Tent sites are located next to the creek or up near the community fire pit. This is our home, it is private, eclectic and filled with natural beauty. That being said, it is by no means pristine. We have the occasional junk pile like most off grid homesteaders do. We do not throw out some things that others would. We try to find a use for old and weathered equipment and materials. Our cabin is built completely with recycled and reclaimed materials. Like I said, we do not like to waste anything, so you may notice a few parts and pieces laying around.

Thanksgiving Camping!
Group trip ·
This was our second trip to Thor’s property and our first time staying in this particular cabin. For Thanksgiving this year, we decided to do something a little different—and we couldn’t have chosen a better spot! The cabin is nestled in a beautiful and relaxing setting. The bubbling creek, crisp fall air, and the peacefulness of the towering trees made it the perfect getaway. While the cabin itself is pretty basic, it offers plenty of space, and the beds are very comfortable. Just a heads-up: it can get VERY cold at night, so be sure to bring enough extra bedding to stay cozy. There is electricity, but we noticed something we plugged in was draining the battery, so keep that in mind if you plan to charge your phone or other electronics. One of the highlights of our stay was meeting Erol, the playful and clumsy Kangal puppy. He’s full of energy and absolutely adorable! There’s also a friendly orange cat on the property—be careful not to accidentally take her home, as she’s quite curious! For outdoor enthusiasts, there’s plenty of hiking both on the property and in the surrounding area. One of our favorite hikes is the Bennett Creek Trail, about 20 minutes away. It’s an easy, family-friendly trail we highly recommend. Thor’s property has a special charm, and it’s been great to see the improvements he’s made since our last visit. We’re already planning to return in the spring to explore more of the area and, of course, spend some time with Erol!

Perfect lil'spot next to the creek!
With pets ·
Perfect little spot next to the creek! It was really beautiful down there, under the trees and listening to the water flow. Perfect off the grid camping spot. Thanks Thor!

Camping in a wonderful place

This is such a wonderful place for a beautiful camping experience. Waking up, with the mist all around the trees and the chickens coming to say hello is special. Truly recommend this place

Would come again
Nice spot with lots of potential. He is still working on the cabin and ammedies. It is really nice. And the location on the creek is gorgeous, peaceful and private. The host is really nice and lives in a trailer nearby but not too close. Crazy road to get there! Also they have all these chickens which free range and follow you around as you hike around. Would go back!

Had a great time
Tent ·
We loved camping in Thor’s land! He was really nice and showed us to our campsite, he waited up for us even though we arrived late. The night was quiet and peaceful even though there were other campers there. We’d love to come back again!

Lovely stay!
With kids ·
The trees and creek are beautiful and the animals added a lot of joy and interest to our stay. We had a lot of fun exploring the land with our son, and the hammocks were a lovely spot to read and rest for a bit. The cabin was convenient and gave us the feel of camping but with a lot more comfort. I recommend bringing your own camping pots and pans, as well as a table for prepping meals, as there is not a lot of counter space. Thor and co were prompt in helping when we needed something. We had a hard time finding the spot (especially since we made the mistake of getting there after dark). You might consider asking Thor to send you a pin to his exact location since there is no official address.
