Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Private quarter acre campsite with a large fire pit, paved road to the entrance and access to Truckhaven and Ocotillo Wells State Vehicle Recreation Area directly from the property. Surrounded by picturesque beach sand dunes, mountains, canyons and some of the state’s best off-roading, you can park your vehicle around the fire ring and set up a group camp with friends or book for some peaceful family time under the stars of the lower Colorado Desert. If you are in the area to see the Salton Sea, this site is 7 miles to the water.Campfires are allowed! There are no toilets or water so campers will need to bring their own accommodations. RVs, trailers and sprinter vans work great for this site but tent camping is fine. Pack in and pack out policy applies. You will be given the address, GPS coordinates and markers to the property upon booking. Things to do and amenities nearby: -Hiking, and designated off-roading areas are located directly from the property! -Try your skills at off-roading with well-labeled obstacles at varying difficulty levels at Truckhaven 4x4 Training Area, 1.8 miles away. Includes restrooms and picnic tables with shade structures. -Chevron, Coffee Bean, KFC, Taco Bell, Cinnabon, Dollar Tree, Alamo restaurant, West Shores Market and all the supplies you need are 2.5 miles away. -Make a stop at California’s largest lake, the Salton Sea, 7 miles away to reach the shoreline. -Explore unique plateau geography with an all-wheel drive Subaru type vehicle or stock 4WD vehicle - the trail starts right down the road at Borrego Salton Sea Way. In our opinion, this is the best easy climb, family adventure your kids will not forget, to reach stunning vistas of Truckhaven and connect to dozens of easy-to-moderate trails a short half mile off of paved road. -Visit the Borrego Badlands and Font’s Point, known as the Grand Canyon of the west, 16 miles away -Get dinner and have some night life fun at Red Earth Casino 9 miles away.

Salton Ocotillo Dunes
Was a little difficult to differentiate between campsites, but the coordinates helped. Super private and great sunset and sunrise. Would be great for offroading.
