Summer is a Star Host
Star Hosts are highly rated, responsive, and committed to providing incredible experiences.
Immerse yourself in a well-maintained forest, featuring a vast meadow and a serene five-acre lake. Shaded tent areas provide comfort, while trails reveal diverse flora and fauna. Bask in the beauty of sunlight filtering through trees, the gentle rustle of leaves, and the tranquility of the reflective lake. Discover nature's harmony in this captivating sanctuary.Picture it, if you dare, your canvas castle pitched at the edge of a 5-acre mirror. It’s a lake, but not your ordinary, run-of-the-mill lake, mind you. This one has that certain je ne sais quoi that only bodies of water with a flair for drama possess. It reflects the heavens, the stars, and, most importantly, your own sense of adventure. This idyllic spot is tucked away, rather conveniently, on 100 private acres of nature's own botanical garden, tower oaks, pines, and cedars, Sprawling fields of wild flowers all primped and preened as if anticipating the arrival of royalty. Or perhaps they're always like this, in a state of perpetual readiness for impromptu beauty contests with butterflies. A veritable flower forest awaiting your company. Your dwelling, and those of your merry band, are all arranged in a semi-circle around a fire pit. The fire pit, the heart of your campsite, beating with warmth and the promise of toasted marshmallows. It's the hub of storytelling and camaraderie, where the light flickers and dances on faces full of anticipation for the tales to be spun. In essence, it's like bedding down in a planetarium, but instead of a pre-recorded voice narrating the constellations, you have an average of 290 clear nights per year so bring your telescopes, the croaking choir of frogs, the rustling leaves whispering ancient lore, and the stars themselves twinkling their cryptic messages.

Lake Ridge Ranch
Perfect group camp site
We had a group of about 40 people (20 of those being 9 year olds who go to school together) and had an amazing time. The kids spent the whole time in the water and with all the kayaks and canoes that were available they were never bored or asking for screen time. I really appreciated that they had life jackets on site so the kids were able to have fun without us being terrified. The space and host are amazing and my only hesitation on giving this a perfect review is fear that it will always be booked out and make it hard for us to come back.

Mixed Feelings
Our recent stay at Lake Ridge Ranch was a blend of highs and lows, making it a memorable yet somewhat challenging experience for our group of 19 friends celebrating my birthday. Accessibility and Directions: 2/5 Accessing the campsite was an adventure in itself, as the listing didn't mention the need for off-road driving. Several of us got lost due to unclear directions, which dampened our initial excitement. Facilities: 2/5 Upon arrival, we found only one porta potty available, which unfortunately wasn't well-maintained. This was quite inconvenient given the size of our group. Additionally, the noise from the generator attached to the owner's trailer was bothersome, especially during quiet moments around the campfire. Campsite Quality: 4/5 Despite the challenges, the campsite itself was delightful. Nestled by a beautiful lake, the spot offered stunning views and easy access for swimming. We appreciated the ample space that easily accommodated our large group, allowing us to set up tents and enjoy outdoor activities without feeling cramped. Overall Experience: 3/5 In conclusion, Lake Wood Ranch provided a picturesque setting for our celebration with friends, highlighting the beauty of nature and the joy of outdoor living. However, improvements in communication about off-road access, clearer directions, and better facilities maintenance would significantly enhance the overall experience for future guests. If you're looking for a scenic spot for a big group getaway consider it.

Amazing all around space! We took a group of 20 up for 4 days, the kitchen set up was perfect for an outdoor camping experience! There was even a pizza oven! Fresh water for dishes and keeping clean. Camping in tents was not an issue at all. Some of us slept in hammocks and on the web. We enjoyed almost a full moon glowing over the pond. There are tons of bass and bluegill to catch. Lots of 3-5 lb bass around the edges. We also caught plenty off the dock as well. Be sure to use the Auberry Rd entrance, we used the wrong GPS location. Summer will get it to you. Great communication and care all week, if we needed anything answers were quick and easy. Thank you so much for the space.

Lake Ridge Ranch
Beautiful lot. We rented out the space for my son’s 13th birthday and the layout and atmosphere made it feel like he was on a summer camp retreat. He was stoked to hook a sizable large mouth bass (see attached photos), but plenty of smaller catches kept us busy the entire weekend. They have canoes and other boating toys available and enough for our large party of 20. Summer was responsive over chat and Jacob was helpful and thorough during his check in. Both were extremely friendly.

SUPER AWESOME PRIVATE LAKE!
This place is Great! My family and I wanted a place to stay and hang out for a couple of days where we could all enjoy the water together and maybe have a spot to BBQ. This place has it all! There is a small ropes course for the kids, a dock with mulitlple boats for use including life jackets for the kids, fishing rod and tackle to catch the large mouth bass, and a sweet picnic area where you can cook and hang out. My family and I would definitely reccomend this place!

Group camping on the lake!
We took a group of 5 families. 4 trailers and one tent camper. We all had kids and dogs and everyone had a great time. The outdoor kitchen Jacob built was not only crafty but very convenient for a large groups. And the shower, although not quite finished provided hot water for us to shower. The lake is great for fishing and kayaking. The kids caught plenty of fish on the paddle boat. We brought a giant inflatable that we anchored out in the center of the lake and that was a nice retreat from the heat. Although swimming was a little difficult because of the grass and algae, it was fine in the center of the lake. The road to the camp ground was cleaned up nicely but in some parts it was a little narrow for our trailer. We got in and out with no issues though. Jacob is a hard worker and constantly working to improve the campground, even while we were there he brought in some shade. He hung up hammocks for the kids. And made room for the trailers by removing some tree limbs. He also carved some really cool owls and turtles out of bark from the trees. I would recommend camping here if you have a smaller trailer and maybe limit to no more than 3 in a group. I can’t wait to see how it changes over the next year!
