The Salmon River watershed is among the cleanest in the world. There are plenty of hiking trails and beautiful places to experience. Osprey’s Perch is set up well for serving as a base camp for local activities like hunting, fishing, kayaking, rafting, day hiking, or just spending time on the river at one of the few private access points in existence. Camp is set up in a way that enables you to roast some brussel sprouts, or bake a pie if you so desire. I mean, how many camps offer that! The commercial gas range also serves as a great backup when fire restrictions are in effect! I hope you enjoy your stay and if you have any questions please reach out! Learn more about this land: Osprey’s perch is a small campsite perched above the Salmon River. The pit toilet is just downhill from the camp at the end of a trail winding down through the meadow and to the right. There is private access to secluded swimming and fishing holes on the lower Salmon River down the meadow trail and to the left. A bridge provides shelter from rain if needed. The area is known for its world class steelhead fishing and is unparalleled in its natural beauty. The elk even stop by occasionally on a late winter/early spring morning if you are lucky enough to get the timing right… I hope you enjoy our most recently additions, tent pads on a nice deep bed of chips, and a dog run for your best friend!Small campsite with trail down to the Salmon River. The site has a great barbecue pit, a commercial gas range, two picking tables, and plenty of room for multiple tents. There is private access to swimming and fishing hole on the lower Salmon River. A bridge provides shelter from rain if needed. The Salmon River is known for its world class steelhead fishing when open November through February, and whitewater rafting and kayaking through the spring months. There is usually no onsite host at this site, but it is easy to find, and quite private. Please do your best to conserve water as there just isn’t very much available in the summer. Any firewood in or around camp can be used for free, if you want to purchase some good bbq wood, ask in your booking request and the host will be able to track some down for you. There is a pit toilet located just below Camp just above the concrete bridge foundation in between camp and the river. TP may not be stocked so make sure to bring some just in case.

Osprey’s Perch
lovely spot, very beautiful, wild and private. feels rugged without having to hike all your gear in somewhere. river access is straight up dreamy... grill works great, burners don't get crazy strong but they're very consistent. adjustable grill over the fire pit takes a little getting used to and the handle and latch get very very hot after the fire's been going, but is overall a nice touch. bathroom is just a pit toilet, bring your own tp.

Maintain trail to river and bathroom. Lots of poison oak. Husband ended up with seven ticks on him and he was the only one who ventured to the river. Trial from parking to camp was steep for carrying coolers and camping stuff, would have been nice to know that so we could have packed different. Nice to allow pets, good cooking stove and fire pit. No water was fine till last day, fortunately the store is well stocked. Bridge noise wasn’t a huge issue.

Osprey’s Perch
This is a super private and beautiful spot to camp if you want to play in the river! Yes it’s under a bridge but there are not many cars that come by so it was totally fine. The pit toilet was nice and had a gorgeous view. Being able to use the stove and picnic tables was great too! The hike down to the river takes maybe 5 minutes and we kept walking a little further down to access a great swimming spot. We didn’t see another person all day, it was so private and peaceful. Would definitely stay again!

Osprey’s Perch
Spacious and quaint. Initially off-putting, as the camp spot is directly under a bridge. However, the constant sound of the river nearby, the trees, and the privacy made it a nice trip.
