Ohana Goat Ranch and Campsite
Really enjoyed our time. We will Probably be back. Could have used a little more information about the goats and the site in general but we figured it out. Only feedback is that the kitchen area took a while to clean up. Blowing the leaves off before arrival would have been helpful. The ants are a big problem. Bring ant spray. We used plates under the table legs with water to create a safe zone as the ants got into everything on the ground and in the tents. If we come back we will bring another table and do the same thing to make a safe spot for our food. The goats were a little hard to find but we followed them and once we saw them. Once we followed them we knew where they tended to go and they were easier to find. Pulled some branches off trees they were eating and lured them back to our camp for a few minutes which was fun. Overall the Kids had a great time. Porta potty was clean. Could have used a shovel and some tools to turn over coals for fire safety. If we come back we will bring a shovel, bigger broom and ant spray. The road isn't as bad as everyone says, just be smart.

Car had to get towed out of ditch
First let me say, the campsite itself is nice and my kids loved the tire swing. We enjoyed seeing the goats and appreciated how much shade the site had for a summer stay. The negative: extremely dangerous roadway into campsite. Our car nearly flipped over with myself, my husband, our dog and all 3 kids inside it. We have a ford explorer with 4 wheel drive and we still could not get up the steep and slick driveway. Our car ended up sideways in a ditch. It took not one but two tow trucks to recover the car and $830. On top of that, there is no service so it made getting assistance very troublesome. The cherry on top was when the second tow truck arrived and said he knew the location well because he has been towing 3 cars/trucks per month out of the same exact location (with 4 wheel drive) every summer for the past 3 years. He commented that he was shocked no one had been seriously injured, the owner had not paved or put gravel down at this point, and that no guardrail was added to prevent this since it is a KNOWN condition. This is a major liability and unfortunately because of this, until this is rectified we will not be back. Total shame because like I said, the site itself is very nice.

Dangerous road
My friends enjoyed the campsite itself, but the road leading to the campsite is very unsafe. My friend's car got stuck in a ditch on the road and had to get towed out. There was also no service, so my friends had to run up a hill to get service. Overall, I do not recommend this campsite because the road is dangerous.

The directions to reach the campsite were easy to follow, the awning and fire pit are good accommodations, and it felt very quiet and peaceful. The campsite is like a hidden oasis! Seeing the goats travel up the hill and by the campsite was a real treat as well!

Great tent camp. Spacious site all shaded from the summer sun. Grill and picnic table make the site extra comfortable. Porta-John and parking is about 100 paces from parking— nice wagon available to make the pack-in easy. Water hose setup about 100 paces up the hill. Bring bug spray, there is a small creek that runs through the site, which is cool, but it does make the ticks/flies plentiful. No problem with some campfire smoke and bug spray. Can’t wait to come back.
