Beautiful view from the quiet camping spot. Picnic table and porta potty. Dog friendly. There is only one big camp spot. Quiet and private. Four miles to hwy. 1 and the beaches. Close to Open Space trails. 20 Minutes to historic little town of Half Moon Bay. 30 Minutes to the harbor. Fresh fish, fresh local vegetables for sale. Moderate temperatures at 700 feet, sunny skies cooled by the marine layer below. But watch the weather report for winter storms.Spectacular spot for dry camping. Drive to a large, flat, with views of forested redwood ridges. Very private and quiet. Close to Open Space trails and the beaches. Wi Fi calling and high speed internet via radio tower available near the cabin at the entrance to the Ranch. 45 minutes from the hustle of the Bay Area, this spot feels like you are in the middle of a great big wilderness.

Awesome spot! Friends and I decided last minute to get out of SF for a night, and found this day of. Beautiful views, plenty of space, the tables and chairs are a nice plus!

Peaceful nature escape
We had a fantastic stay at Lobitos Creek. The peacefulness of the area, coupled with the stunning views of the redwood ridges, made it a perfect spot to unwind. Being surrounded by nature, with no distractions, allowed us to fully enjoy the tranquility. The site itself is very private, spacious, and dog-friendly, which we appreciated. The proximity to the coast and nearby trails was ideal for some light hiking.

The location is great for being so close to the ocean but not right on it. We honestly picked the worst weekend to go as the temps were almost in the triple digits.

Overall a nice camp site, just a bit more shade would be nice since it’s so open. Very lovely area!

Amazing Base Camp for SF Adventures
Amazing off grid spot close to Half Moon Bay! We loved this stop so much we extended our stay there for 4 more nights. Used it as a great base camp between San Francisco, the Bay Area, the beaches, and Half Moon Bay. I pulled a heavy 30 ft travel trailer to the spot, the road is definitely twisty turvy but you can make it, don't get worried. Host was super accommodating, location is big and flat Thank you!

Third time camping here. Would happily come again. Beautiful location, quiet and peaceful. Large space to set up. Really enjoyed mornings, watching the fog lift and the Rabbits play.
