Recent Hipcampers say this Hipcamp is romantic.
Picturesque cedar cabin nestled in the pines. Located one mile from downtown Nevada City. Fifteen minutes from the Yuba River (a magical swimming/hiking spot), ten minutes from popular mountain bike trails, and forty-five minutes from the closest ski resort. The hut is the perfect amount of space for one to two people, and is wonderful for romantic, friend, or solo getaways. 2-WD accessible. This is a peaceful retreat in a cedar cabin with skylights for stargazing, and a giant picture window that looks out on a meadow filled with wild rose bushes. The inside is cozy with a propane fueled stove for heat, and a bed with a bottom sheet (bedding and pillows not provided). The outdoor space has a sitting area and a cooking space with counter and sink with running cold water.  This hut is wonderful in both summer and in the colder months. The outdoor space gives plenty of room to spend time in the sunshine and a battery powered fan and newly installed screen door allow you to enjoy the cool summer night air. The stove makes everything warm and inviting when it is chilly outside. The hut has cell service, but no electricity, making for a true glamping experience. There are battery powered twinkle lights that add a little magic. Listen for the owls at night and watch deer wander through the meadow. More Details- -The house on the property is visible from the hut, but is 300 feet away and partially obscured, allowing everyone privacy. There are curtains on the hut window if more privacy is desired. -Parking is 150 feet away from the hut.-Please be courteous of noise after 9 PM.-Please use the outdoor counter  next to the sink for all camping stoves for fire safety.-Smoking and burning candles or incense is prohibited because of fire danger. We are located on Nisenan land.  Learn more at nisenan.org. We have included an information booklet with all of our favorite things and please reach out if you have any questions or need any suggestions. We look forward to hearing from you and welcoming you to the Honeycomb Hut!

Lovely Choice for Chef Roger & JR👨🏼‍🍳👩🏻‍🍳
It was as described which in of itself was a blessing to us‼️Cute, charming to say the least ! We r huge HipCamp fans. We turned all tech off & enjoyed the many windows & Beautiful Nature & Serenity all around & light with only nature sounds about & a family of 5 deers lol ‼️Too cute‼️We xmas shopped n Victorian Xmas a lovely town with kind people ! Sky was clear & full of bright stars cold but comfortable weather a lot of walking which we love n hiking together. 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨 Lovely owners! Real people if u understand 🧐me?Ck it out we will be back! We even got lost their neighbors kindly drove us to the Magic Hut! It was dark & parking is a lil tight that was r only issue with r big truck just when we had to bck out of the driveway or a u turn .Its all good. So NO worries & tech left behind at home we get reacquainted with each other & nature here at Beautiful Nevada City👏We ate in town +ice crème at the wonderful TREATS desserts ,had a campfire 🔥 bck at. MH with s’mores & enjoyed each other 🫂💋♥️ ‼️Peaceful & Tranquil ! We recommend 100% giving this Hipcamp a try! I bet u will return again & again ‼️♥️👍🏼🎅🎄🙋‍♀️PS We came in the fall r heater was great. We’re warm n 10 mins .They had some lighting sufficient however , if u needed more for good reading bring ur headlamp-battery operated lights etc…Space was sufficient for the 2 of us! HAPPY2024 fellow hip campers & vbro’s 🥳 We found out their neighbors have a beautiful place on “VRBO” website we will try this Summer we live n Reno!!!!👏👍🏼JR

Honeycomb Hut
Great experience
Quaint, private, great host. Perfect to reconnect together on a short weekend trip. Hut was well built with fine craftsmanship. Warm enough with propane heater inside. Kitchen area and compost toilet were a great addition to a camp-like experience.
