Immerse yourself in this secluded sanctuary and untouched nature, leave refreshed and ready for all that life has in store. Follow Us @CaliforniaCampingClub ***Some things to please be aware of: - This is off grid camping! No markers or specifically defined campsites are present, we provide exact GPS coordinates. All sites are dispersed camping in the wildflower fields! We intentionally leave the property unaltered to preserve the raw natural beauty. - Our site is about 2 miles from the nearest paved road (HWY 138) It’s all dirt roads to get here off of HWY 138, through the hills. For years we have found 2WD is more than sufficient to get here, as long as you drive slow, and don't stop on hills you should be fine. However, some campers have found that not to be the case for them and wanted 4WD, so come prepared either way. - If you are unfamiliar navigating using GPS coordinates or with off grid camping, our location may be hard to find and may not be a good fit for you. - It can get very windy sometimes so come prepared to snuggle up in the back of your car or camper and enjoy the stunning stars, sunrises, sunsets and views. - It is considerably easier to navigate with a little daylight. - We are happy to provide you with a map as well upon request, which seems to be the most direct route. Feel free to reach out and we will help you with whatever you may need, just ask! Thank you and we hope you enjoy your stay! :)

Camping at this site offers a mix of tranquility and rugged adventure. The open landscape is perfect for those who love exploring nature and seeking solitude, although the wind can be quite strong, so be prepared. It's a great spot for stargazing and appreciating wildflowers, especially during the bloom season. However, the area lacks designated camping spots and clear signage, which can make navigation tricky without GPS.

All about the map coordinates - open land. Beautiful rolling country - I walked for miles. Strong winds in April when I was there. If you want get off grid, go.

Woke up to a herd of cows!
12 ft campervan · Group trip ·
Such a great place for a one day camp out with good company. The wind can be relentless but there are spots below hills you can choose so that it’s not so strong. My group woke up to a herd of cows right at our campsite! They were very kind and were more interested in the natural vegetation around us than our camp goods. Our barking dogs did little to sway them from their daily routine. The area honestly feels like a friend’s best kept secret. I’m glad our host Freedom, has shared this place with us. There is not really a designated camping spot but that’s ok because there’s tons of places to choose from within the large plot of land. Just make sure you use the coordinates provided first.

Super quiet location with flowers
15 ft travel trailer ·
The poppies aren’t quite out yet, but the location is still beautiful. I was able to navigate the trails (hard to call a couple of tracks a road) with my all-wheel drive Outback and small teardrop trailer without any problems.

Beautiful property!! I stayed just one night while driving through and didn’t see anyone else around AWESOME! Directions are not super helpful because there’s so signs anywhere. but i went to the coordinates and parked. A neighbor i’m assuming drove by and said i could park wherever i wanted, super friendly!

Great Camping Spot!
We camped here one night and it was very pretty, and easy to find. At night the winds were strong, so be prepared, but this is common to the whole area. In the morning the air was calm and beautiful, and we were surrounded by wildflowers. This camping area is very close to the Poppy Preserve, which was convenient.

I am sure it can be as beautiful as described when flowers are blooming. But when we went 3/16/24 there were hardly any flowers and lots of people driving through the property (not exactly a secluded feeling). It was clear they are not camping here, just driving through (probably looking for flowers). The listing left me with the impression that this is private property and only those camping here would be on it.
