Welcome to our one-acre Redwood grove, complete with a seasonal creek. With both level and hilly areas, we offer one platform tent (with more on the way), a spacious Picnic Pavilion, and numerous spots for pitching a tent beneath the majestic Redwoods. If weather gets rough, consider Creekside Cottage #4, an enchanting studio apartment with modern bathroom/shower, kitchenette. 14 minutes away on Zayante Creek. Explore the many unspoiled creeks in the area, perfect for hiking enthusiasts. Additionally, the Santa Cruz beach and Boardwalk are just 6 miles south, offering endless seaside entertainment. Please note, our site holds historical significance as it borders the CZU fire burn scar. Big Basin is a mere 4 miles away, while the historic Brookdale Lodge is just 1 mile from our location.

Creekside Cottage
Like Camping with More Amenities
I had an enjoyable time staying at the Creekside Cottage! The listing was very accurate and all the necessary amenities (bed, toilet, shower) were there. I saw another review critique the property and reiterate that it is not the quality of an Airbnb. That is true, but you shouldn't expect that for the bargain price that you can stay here for. The location is right off a moderately busy road so expect some noise but nothing unbearable. Overall, I had a nice time and would consider returning if I find myself in the area again.

Best off grid camping trip
Best off grid camping sites I have been to in years. I loved not dealing with my phone ringing all the time with no cellular service and I loved being up so high in the mountains. The sounds and smell of nature was amazing, I felt apart of nature while staying here. This was so much fun and relaxing. I’m definitely going again!

Creekside Cottage #4
This place wasn’t nice enough to be an Airbnb but it wasn’t in nature enough to be like camping. It’s a small ADU in between two houses on a little street right outside of town. If it was out in the country more, with more outdoor space, I would feel more forgiving of the rustic room inside.

Oak Park #5
Scott & his wife were super kind & proactive hosts - the spot was easy to find with his directions, and he even left the lights on for me in the cottage/bathroom since I ended up arriving later in the night than expected. The spot was lovely and felt very protected in the tree’s shelter, and I fell asleep listening to the frogs in the creek next to it. Will definitely stop there again if I’m passing through in the future! Thank you guys.

Awesome Sauce
Very close to SO much beautiful and many trails in the Santa Cruz mountains, host was super gracious and did a good job of setting the site up, pretty simple and basic small spot but in a great location, not walking distance from much though Bathrooms were pretty genius I liked the set up though it took me a mi Ute to figure out how to work the toilet

Tall Grove Tent #1
Beautiful spot in the trees, and we absolutely loved having such a *huge* nice tent without even having to set it up/break it down ourselves! Scott kindly checked in to make sure we'd arrived safely and that all the bathroom facilities were in order (they were)! Recommended for anyone looking for something more private and tucked away, but still accessible to Henry Cowell/Santa Cruz/etc.
