Learn more about this land: Epic big sky views across Johnson Valley and beyond from this group site sand lot with easy access to the legendary Johnson Valley OHV and the pristine Bighorn Mountain Wilderness in the foothills below Big Bear. The property is surrounded by open desert with homes way off in the distance but no immediate neighbors. Nearby OHV trails lead you less than2 miles to the legendary Hammers Off Road Vehicle Area to the Northeast, the "back way" to Big Bear Rattlesnake Canyon. The property is less than 2 miles to the entrance to Johnson Valley BLM OHV, a massive 188,000 acre open riding area and home to the King of Hammers Competition. Hit the trails then come back to your private camp to take in the sunset and kick back under the stars in this dark sky community. Property is gated with two one-way access roads for easy access for big rigs. Camp surface is packed sand and levelish. As a dry camp, if you pack it in, please pack it out and tread lightly within the camp to keep the sand packed for the next guests (pretty please) and do not ride out across the open desert near the camp which is private land and will get me in trouble with the neighbors.  Access to OHV riding is just 50 yards back down Valley Vista where a track runs between Johnson Valley OHV and Rattlesnake Canyon. Hiking and canyoneering await in the Big Horn Mountains to the South.

It was easy to find and exactly what I’d hoped for when I booked it. The property was clean, fenced and had two nice fire pits. David was very helpful and sent a lot of useful information for us to navigate the surrounding ohv areas. Will definitely be coming back again to stay at this property.

This is the perfect spot for any vehicle big or small. This is a spot to create your own adventure. The land is desolate and quiet. I loved the clean open space, it made it really nice for my dogs to run around and not worry about getting pricked by desert plants! I only hope to bring a OHV vehicle with me the next time to ride around Valley Vista! The property can easily accommodate multiple vehicles if you’d like to partner up and rent it with a group of friends! We didn’t bring firewood but next time I’d love to make sure to bring some for the two fire pits that are located on the property!
