Learn more about this land: Welcome to Bee Land! 5 acres of off-the-grid earth: desolate, empty and stunning! This is a property for those who really want to experience the desert at night. Camp under the stars, near the Salton Sea. You will be surrounded by the mountains and endless sky. There is nothing else except the stark beauty of this completely undeveloped landscape. However, you are 5 miles from Bombay Beach, 8 miles from Niland and Slab City. Take a day trip to Palm Springs , Joshua Tree, or the other side of the Salton Sea. Go off roading! Hike the Chocolate Mountains! Lay on one of the beaches along the Salton Sea. There’s so much do if you are open to the total experience of what desert life can provide. You never know who you will meet! Perfect alternative to the over-priced airbnbs for the Bombay Beach Biennale. Update: There is now a clearcut, straight path leading out to the property directly from the main road. There is also an entrance and property markers. All details and directions will be provided after booking is formalized. My land is desolate and empty. This is a property for those who really want to experience the desert at night. Once you get out to the property, however, there are 2 pallet fences with a big bee and a mailbox to welcome you. That is the entrance to the campground! Please see photos on here for reference :)

True Off-the-Grid Desert Camping
Open Space and Solitude
Bee Land was an amazing experience and the perfect place to check out and enjoy some solitude. The location is beautiful and open with plenty of places to explore in the immediate area or a short drive away. Sara was an incredibly gracious and responsive host who knows the area very well. She was helpful with directions and even suggested places to check out while I was there. I would highly recommend Bee Land for anyone who wants to enjoy a super easy and remote getaway.

True Off-the-Grid Desert Camping
After staying in tightly packed campsites with too many rules for the last couple weeks, I was craving space and freedom. Sara's spot was that to a T! I had no terrible getting out there in my little rear wheel drive Class C RV, and my dog and I had a blast wandering around in complete solitude for a couple days. Wish it could have been longer! The location is great for visiting Bombay Beach and Niland/Slab City, and the sunsets were spectacular. We were serenaded by a couple coyotes right outside my camper the first night, which was remarkable. Last and certainly not least, Sara was the most spectacularly helpful and (remotely) welcoming host I've experienced by a long shot. Directions (with pictures!) were super helpful, and she's very familiar with the area and happy to recommend activities and places to eat.

Solitary splendor!
Wow! This spot is a gem! Private land with no one for miles. The property is lovely and located with quick access to Bombay Beach. Sunrise and sunset are spectacular. Highly recommend to creative types looking for some inspiration and alone time. Sarah was a wonderful host! We will definitely return after the summer heat passes. Note that there is NOTHING out here, so come prepared. Arrive before dark as the road is a bit tricky to find. 4WD was not needed.
