Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Campers can relax down by the river on our lower field. Wide open sky to watch the stars, sunrises, and sunsets. Right on the Nechako river so wildlife can often be spotted, great for birdwatching especially! Depending on the season there is a lot of foraging that can be done as there are plenty of wild blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, and more. The camping area is a big grass field so there is plenty of space for any type of camping. The drive down to the field is a bit bumpy so we wouldn't recommend a large motorhome try to go down there. As of now we have no amenities but hope to add some in the future. The beach and river can be used at camper's own risk. The field we are offering is just down the hill from our farm on the Nechako River. It's a beautiful area where we often see all kinds of wildlife including deer, moose, elk, beavers, all kinds of birds, and sometimes bears (so please be bear cautious and do not leave food out). We have 5 campsites available for tent or RV campers. We can accommodate any size RV (site will require leveling) however, longer motorhomes might not be able to make the road down to the campsite. Depending on the season there are tons of wild blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, and other wild food that can be foraged (eat at your own risk and do not eat anything if you aren't 100% sure what it is).  Campers are welcome to enjoy the river at their own risk, the beach is sandy but the current is swift so use caution. We are about 5 minutes from Beaumont park which has lake access and a boat launch, and it's only about 15-20 minutes to the town of Fraser Lake.

Simply wonderful. Diverted this way due to road closure on the Alaska Highway and this was a happy surprise. Camped by the river. We met Kyle and he was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They have a neat area. Kyle said they are new hosts and we were their first guests. Honored to be so. We would make this a destination stop and whole heartedly recommend it.
