We provide a convenient propane campfire for safety since our climate is dry and often windy. No candles or open flames please. Limited WIFI available.
There are easy trails on property along the lush stream (the original riverbed of the Middle Saint Vrain Stream), fishing or swimming in the pond (no lifeguard on duty), or challenging trails into Roosevelt National Forest from the property. (Ask Hiker Dot for guidance.) Several National Forest access points, where you can enjoy peaceful walks away from crowds, are a short drive.
New this year Bliss Camp is adding a 12' x 14' Glamping Tent Cabin.
Bliss Canyon is a spur off of breathtaking, picturesque South Saint Vrain Canyon. Stroll on over to the South or Middle for renowned fly fishing. For climbers, there are over 50 climbs in South Saint Vrain Canyon!
Dark Skies:
If you like to watch the stars and meteor showers, Bliss Canyon is blessed with dark skies with little light from the plains. Bring your telescopes and explore the Universe.
Rocky Mountain National Park, one of the five Crown Jewels of the National Park Service, is nearby. The closest trailhead in RMNP is 10 miles, the next trailhead at Wild Basin entrance to the park is 13 miles, and the Beaver Meadows entrance (main entrance) is 36 miles. Rocky Mountain National Park has breathtaking drives, easy strolls with interpretive signs, and 360 miles of trails. (Advance reservation required for entry 9:00 am to 3:00 pm for main park, or 5:00 am to 6:00 pm for Bear Lake corridor.)
Indian Peaks Wilderness also has several nearby access points and trailheads. Ask Dot for details.
The charming town of Lyons is 20 minutes away with coffee shops, restaurants, bars, lots of great live music, and quaint shops. Also, Spirit Hound Distillery received the award for the #1, Best Whiskey in the World in 2022, hmmm, it might be worth a tasting!

We provide a portable toilet with WagBags. Please always pack out all human solid human waste. Gold Hill Store offers a toilet for a minimal fee and the Gold Hill Inn has a toilet for customers. A camp stove is available for outdoor use. The camp stove and the propane heater both use 1 lb propane canisters, so feel free to bring your own fuel to cook and keep you warm. A can of propane is always available for your use of the stove.
* A note to novice campers and regular hotel patrons: Though you are in a shelter, you are still exposed to the elements. The treehouse is not insulated. Wind, bugs, and critters may all be a part of the variable treehouse experience mother nature has planned for you. If you are not comfortable camping, getting dirty, swatting flies, being too hot, being too cold, hearing the noises of animals at night, waking up to the sound of magpies, and who knows what else, this experience may not be for you.

Welcome to Camp Wilder! We are an off-the-beaten-path camp offering peace and solitude.
The cabin is very special to my family and me. It was passed down as a mining claim from my grandmother who founded it in the '60s. The vision for the land was simply perfect.
A small 10 x 10 cabin with the whole mountain to explore and whoever they wished to bring with them.
The town of Nederland is 10 minutes down the road where you can fish at Baker Reservoir. Lots of fun little stores in town to keep the family busy.
Wildlife is everywhere up by the cabin/campsite, always remember don't leave food lying around with lots of great things to look for around the magical town of Nederland.
The cabin sleeps up to 8 with the futon downstairs being very comfortable and 3" foam upstairs in the loft for more sleeping area. Bring your sleeping bags to stay cozy at night. There are lanterns inside to light up your night with a wood stove to keep you warm at night. The ground around it is sloped so you may have a hard time setting up any tents around the cabin.
The grocery store is in Nederland where you can buy food, Coleman green propane bottles, gallon jugs of water and wood. There is a 3 burner Coleman, stove to cook on with limited pots & pans as well as silverware.
Road disclaimer, the road to the cabin is one lane dirt road. The drive up to the cabin is pretty good but the turn onto the single dirt road to the cabin has a slight dip, if you have a low-clearance car it may bottom out when you are turning so be careful.
No Trailers. They will not be able to turn around once there.
Recommend vehicles with AWD. Go 3.4 miles up Caribou road. Turn right @ yellow stakes go .4 miles. Park on the left. Hike down to the cabin between yellow stakes.
We are @ 10,000 feet and it is a slight hike to the cabin. Go 3.4 miles up Caribou road. Turn right @ yellow stakes go .4 miles
When leaving please make sure both door locks are locked, put the key in the lock box and mix the code for the next camper.

The Treehouse is furnished with Queen size bed and plenty of blankets to keep you warm, but feel free to bring your sleeping bag if you prefer.

We provide a portable toilet with WagBags. Please always pack out all human solid human waste. Gold Hill Store offers a toilet for a minimal fee and the Gold Hill Inn has a toilet for customers. A camp stove is available for outdoor use. The camp stove and the propane heater both use 1 lb propane canisters, so feel free to bring your own fuel to cook and keep you warm. A can of propane is always available for your use of the stove.
* A note to novice campers and regular hotel patrons: Though you are in a shelter, you are still exposed to the elements. The treehouse is not insulated. Wind, bugs, and critters may all be a part of the variable treehouse experience mother nature has planned for you. If you are not comfortable camping, getting dirty, swatting flies, being too hot, being too cold, hearing the noises of animals at night, waking up to the sound of magpies, and who knows what else, this experience may not be for you.

Welcome to Camp Wilder! We are an off-the-beaten-path camp offering peace and solitude.
The cabin is very special to my family and me. It was passed down as a mining claim from my grandmother who founded it in the '60s. The vision for the land was simply perfect.
A small 10 x 10 cabin with the whole mountain to explore and whoever they wished to bring with them.
The town of Nederland is 10 minutes down the road where you can fish at Baker Reservoir. Lots of fun little stores in town to keep the family busy.
Wildlife is everywhere up by the cabin/campsite, always remember don't leave food lying around with lots of great things to look for around the magical town of Nederland.
The cabin sleeps up to 8 with the futon downstairs being very comfortable and 3" foam upstairs in the loft for more sleeping area. Bring your sleeping bags to stay cozy at night. There are lanterns inside to light up your night with a wood stove to keep you warm at night. The ground around it is sloped so you may have a hard time setting up any tents around the cabin.
The grocery store is in Nederland where you can buy food, Coleman green propane bottles, gallon jugs of water and wood. There is a 3 burner Coleman, stove to cook on with limited pots & pans as well as silverware.
Road disclaimer, the road to the cabin is one lane dirt road. The drive up to the cabin is pretty good but the turn onto the single dirt road to the cabin has a slight dip, if you have a low-clearance car it may bottom out when you are turning so be careful.
No Trailers. They will not be able to turn around once there.
Recommend vehicles with AWD. Go 3.4 miles up Caribou road. Turn right @ yellow stakes go .4 miles. Park on the left. Hike down to the cabin between yellow stakes.

When leaving please make sure both door locks are locked, put the key in the lock box and mix the code for the next camper.

Deer came right down to the Lodge, plenty of creature comforts in the kitchen, jacuzzi tub, hot tub, with wifi and central heat. Everything was clean and nicely decorated. Trailhead on site for a good hike, or another right across the hwy. King Suite was spacious, check in was easy, be ready for an extra deposit fee.

I booked a tent site at A-Lodge and it exceeded every expectation. The property is tucked into a peaceful mountain pocket with just the right mix of wilderness and comfort. You get the feeling of camping in nature, but with clean facilities, hot showers, and a friendly staff that actually cares about your stay.
The tent sites are spaced out perfectly—private enough to feel like you’re on your own adventure, but close enough to walk to amenities. Waking up to the sound of the creek and the cool morning air was the best way to start the day. Trails are right next to the lodge, so I was able to hike straight from my campsite without ever getting in my car.
The staff deserves special mention. They were welcoming, knowledgeable about the area, and gave genuinely helpful tips for hikes, food, and local spots. The community vibe around the lodge, especially in the evening, made the experience even better—quiet when you want rest, relaxed when you feel social.
If you’re looking for a tent camping spot that balances nature, comfort, and adventure, A-Lodge is the place. I’ll definitely be coming back.

We booked through HipCamp last minute and I am glad they were still able to accommodate us. The drive to the ranch was just beautiful! You’ll pass by a couple of ski resorts and beautiful small towns that are worthy of visiting!
The ranch it self was surrounded by water, we booked Camp 24 and it was just perfect for me and my boyfriend and his Sprinter Van. It was also in front of the lake/river so that was a great plus!
We didn’t book any rooms so my 5 star rating is for the toilet that was well maintained and cleaned.
We arrived after 5pm so there was no one to check us in but we really appreciate the welcome map addressed to me that led us to our campsite. Another 5 star.
And lastly, the ranch is just perfect for first timers like us as it was very accessible. There’s a small town 25mins away that has a City Market and pretty much everything you’ll need. We bought 2 bags of wood but that was definitely not enough. Luckily there were a lot of old woods on the ground that we were able to use.
We also tried to fish but no luck on that. Overall, the experience was amazing and I can’t wait to go back with our friends there.

We had such a wonderful greeting from Sara’s grazing sheep, her dog Yogi and her cat Salty. It took only minutes for my son to join her daughter on the family’s swing-set.
We had intended to “glamp” somewhere close to Estes Park, and the Burro fit the bill! The tiny space heater made the camper cozy on the cold nights, and we had access to her walk-in basement restroom and shower (even if we opted not to shower because we like to “rough it” on camping trips).
After a day of hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park, my 8-year-old could not wait to “get back to the farm”, and spend time with all the animals. Sara’s daughter Rose even treated my son to a riding lesson on a pony for a very reasonable price.
We also enjoyed the nearby creek just at the back of her property and an excellent recommendation to a nearby park.
Additional perk is that my little loved to pet the animals in the morning while I was getting breakfast or dinner ready. Always something to do at this beautiful location!

We met her at her tea shop in town and she was personable and helpful. Would stay again next time we are in the area. And the cute wild turkeys roaming the property were bonus!

The Trail Ridge Road is one of the park’s top highlights and offers wildlife viewing and mountain scenes from numerous viewpoints along the road. Camping in Rocky Mountain National Park is a fun way to enjoy the area, with five campgrounds offering everything from secluded tent sites to roomy spots for RVs, plus backcountry camping and backpacking trails.
RV Camping in Rocky Mountain National Park
Instead of simply visiting Rocky Mountain National Park for the day, make your stay an RV vacation right in the park to sleep under star-filled skies and wake up to views of jagged peaks at one of the four Rocky Mountain campgrounds that allow RVs. Length limits vary by campground, and although no RV hookups are available in the park, some campsites offer amenities like potable water, dump stations, firewood, and food storage lockers. RV campers won't find much cell reception either, but you're more likely to be delighted by the wildlife that wanders through the Rocky Mountain campsites and the easy access you'll have to trailheads, saving you the trip through the park entrance gates each day. Alternatively, outside of the park, RVers can use the towns of Estes Park and Grand Lake as convenient basecamps with more amenities. Here, multiple RV camping options are available, ranging from simple campgrounds to luxury RV resorts with full hookups, pools, and family activities.
Yurt Rentals Near Rocky Mountain National Park
You might be asking, "Are yurt rentals available in Rocky Mountain National Park?" Unfortunately, no. While some state and national parks have added yurts alongside traditional cabins, lodges, and campsites, Rocky Mountain National Park has not. But that doesn’t mean you can't find a yurt rental in the Rockies. Just outside the park gates, towns like Estes Park and Grand Lake offer convenient basecamps for adventures inside the park, and a wide variety of more private and unique camping options. While some Hipcamp yurts include just the basics like simple furniture, others are full glamping retreats, decked out with kitchens, bathrooms, electricity, and wifi. You might even find fireplaces for the cool Colorado nights. Some Rocky Mountain yurt rentals are close to civilization, while others place you out in the wilderness among the wildlife and starry skies. In addition to yurts, other unique Hipcamp glamping getaways include canvas tents, A-frame cabins, and treehouses.

Tips for snagging a campsite
- Camping in Rocky Mountain National Park is extremely popular—reservations are highly recommended during the summer months.
- Sites can be reserved up to six months in advance at the Aspenglen, Glacier Basin, and Moraine Park campgrounds. Longs Peak and Timber Creek campgrounds are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Each campground with RV sites has its own limits on size, so be sure the one you’re reserving can accommodate the length of your vehicle.
When to go
Rocky Mountain National Park is a lovely place to visit in any season. It’s especially gorgeous when the wildflowers are in peak bloom in late June, early July, and fall when the aspens are a brilliant gold. The park is busiest during the summer and on fall weekends. To avoid the crowds, visit when the Trail Ridge Road first opens from the town of Estes Park to Grand Lake, typically around Memorial Day or on weekdays in the fall. All campgrounds are open seasonally, except for Moraine Park, which remains open year-round.
Know before you go
- This national park is about 70 miles from Denver, or about a two-hour drive away.
- Rocky Mountain National Park has no electric hookups. Campers can only run generators in campgrounds at specified times.
- Many of the first-come, first-served sites fill first thing in the morning. Plan to arrive early for your best chance of finding a spot. Check in at the Visitor Center for the latest information on campground availability.
- All campers must store food items, toiletries, and other scented items in food storage lockers or inside vehicle trunks.
- Plan for cold nights and possibly a thunderstorm when camping in Rocky Mountain National Park. All park campgrounds sit at an elevation of 8,000 feet or higher.
- Pets are allowed in campgrounds and picnic areas as long as they are on a leash. Pets are not allowed on any trails.

So far, RMNP is MY FAVORITE park! I stayed in Arapaho near Lake Granby and drove in from the south side the first 2 days I went, but drove ALL through Trail Ridge Road. We also came back through the Estes Park side. We loved the ranger programs, viewing elk and moose, hiking to Emerald Lake, and the marmots were a favorite for my kids!
