We all know the story.... COVID came, everyone bought a camper and campgrounds skyrocketed the prices to make every single penny they could. So, we decided to build our very own little campground on an unused piece of property on our homestead located in Melfa, Virginia for our enjoyment.

   We have enjoyed many summer nights and weekends here with family and friends as well as a great spot for guests to relax when in town visiting, NOW its your turn. Available as a camper rental, tent site or RV hook-up.

Pets allowed- Must be leashed at ALL times or bring your own lead to allow them to relax in the shade while you sit and enjoy a peaceful atmosphere. No need for alarm clocks here....as 

The early bird gets the worm on the property,  so be prepared for a few early morning rooster crows.

The Good Day Farm

Come park your RV on our gorgeous 18 acre property in central Suffolk, VA. Enjoy the our small farm of kune kune pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, and ducks. Nestle on the Pamunkey Indian Reservation also known for Spiritual Healing that overlooks the Pamunkey River.  The Pamunkey people have been here for over 10,000 years making this area one of the oldest reservations in the country.  

We have a small platform sitting right on the water for privacy and beautiful views of the river.  You may see Bald Eagles, Grey Herons, Ducks, Geese, River Otters, and so much more.  During low tide, the water is pulled back into the main part of the river and this is where you will see the wildlife during this time.  There are up to 8 Bald Eagles here at a time and during the Spring to Fall, you will see Osprey hunting for food right in front of you and usually getting chased by the Eagles.  What an awesome site to be able to camp and be a part of so many creatures all in their natural habitat.

We live right up the hill.  Depending on where your tent is located, you may or may not see our home.  Usually you cannot but want you to be aware.  When you are camping, we respect your space and privacy to the fullest.

During the full moon, the water on the campsite will rise and you will need to camp closer to the land.  Also, when the tied is out, you will not be able to launch the canoe or kayak.

There is a short path to walk and it is a very short incline.  

Please note that hunting season starts in October, and you may hear the noise.

The Guinea Farm, Field, and Forest

The Guinea farm is 18 acres of feild and forest on the rural middle pennensula. Only 1 mile from 2 separate secluded beaches and a boat launch. There is verly little traffic or light polution here, nature is at your fingertips. 

Come visit the farm and experience agrotourism at it's finest. Pick your own veggies in the community garden and meet the Guinea fowl! Enjoy the windernes and learn about the local ecosystem here on the middle pennensula.  

 

There are 3 sites spaced out across the 18 acres set apart for privacy. Wisteria is a primative site closer to the entrance gate. Trilogy is a suspended tree tent in the pines 700' beyond that and seperated by dense forest. Stargazer Tiny cabin is an offgrid rustic camping cabin on the back side of the property. 

Each site is surronded by several acres of forest and close to the edge of a large feild. There are romaing guinea fowl that may come make a very loud appearance as they canvas the property eating bugs. Deer, Turkeys, Bald Eagles, foxes, and other wildlife are common guests also. Mid-summer is what I call frog season, Tree frogs are abundant and provide a wonderful soundtrack. 

There are free to use bicycles, an axe throwing board, and cornhole boards available. 

4 miles from shopping and dining in Mathews Virginia, 15 miles to Gwynn Island. Gwynn's Island is an island located in the Chesapeake Bay off of Virginia's Middle Peninsula. The island is located in the northeast part of Mathews County, south of the mouth of the Piankatank River. It is connected to the rest of the county by a swing bridge over Milford Haven.

 "Daniel Downs" five pasture acres surrounded by woods!

Learn more about this land:Daniel Downs is 5 acres of pasture complete with a barn and some surrounding woods. The perfect spot for you to bring your horses and let them relax in the pasture after a day on the trails or beach. Explore our town! Have a day of shopping our local Gloucester main street or enjoying our many beaches and restaurants. Convenient to Urbanna, Kilmarnock, Deltaville, Colonial Williamsburg, Water County, Bush Gardens and Colonial Yorktown. If it's a peaceful country get away you're craving come on and pitch your tent or park your camper and enjoy the peacful farm life. We have chickens, 2 labs and goats! We do not have electric or water hook ups at this time but are working on that. So if you need a break in the country book at "Daniel Downs" !

Serenity cove

Enjoy the natural serenity of this hideaway on the shores of the historic Antipoison Creek (so named by Capt John Smith), minutes to the Chesapeake Bay by boat or car. The area offers boating, fishing, and an abundance of wildlife (deer, turkeys, waterfowl, bald eagles, osprey. otters and more). Bring your boat and moor at our dock.

Property owners reside full-time on this property in a newly constructed home.
