For those who like to enjoy a bike ride, access to Great Southern Rail Trail ; Tarra Trail (Leongatha to Port Welshpool) 75km bike track now extended to Port Albert and Yarram - , www.gsrt.com.au Wilsons Promontory National park is Victoria's oldest national park. It covers 50,000 hectares and features pristine beaches, forests and places to visit. There is a 19-km (return) walk to Sealers Cove that can be accomplished in a day and the track takes you through mountains, temperate rainforest and secluded beaches. Discover country hospitality, A dip in the newly built swimming pool is a must for families on the warmer days The Lyrebird Forest Walk is a pretty half hour bushwalk or a longer walk and a river walk that is on the north entry to the town with lots of seating available which are all named after volunteers that have created these walks There is also the rail trail which follows the old railway line all the way to Boolarra and the Morwell River Falls a short drive from Boolarra The Naracan falls is on the way to Thorpedale Head for the hills to Walhalla old mining town and steam train rides Willow grove and the Blue Rock Dam makes for a pretty drive to north in the hills You are only 45 min drive to the coast of Inverloch and Tarwin Lower Waratah Wineries.... and follow the South Gippsland highway all the way to the very pretty towns of the Meeniyan, Foster, Toora, Agnus Water Falls, Port Welshpool, historic Port Albert, Yarram, Woodside and the ninety mile beach, Tarra Bulga National Park, enjoying lovely views of the coast on the way. It is 2 km from Agnes Falls and 10 km from Welshpool and Toora. Our property is suitable for caravans, motorhomes, camper trailers and tents. We are dog friendly. There is a hot water camp shower and toilet. Drinking water available and campfires permitted. The campsite is located in a 5 meter cut out with a grass patch and three gum tress. Camp between the sheds in the orchards, between the orchards or to the west of the wester. There is water and power and lots of places to pitch a tent or park a van. If you want to use the toilet and shower you will need to walk to The Caravan Hut, or BYO and be self-contained. Thank you for your inquiry. "Bush Retreat Farm Stay" is a gorgeous little farm nestled on the fringe of the Alberton West State Forest, with views of Wilsons Prom and the Strezleckie Ranges. The state forest has many walking tracks that go on for miles, perfect if you want to go horse riding, motor bike riding or mountain biking or put on a pair of comfy walking shoes to hit the many walking tracks to take in the beautiful bush setting with the occasional wallaby or kangaroo darting out of the bush across your path. We have the Great Southern Rail Trail just on our door step. It has now been completed from Nyora all the way through to Yarram. We have on of the entrances off Lanes Road. Close to all local attractions - Port Albert, Port Welshpool long jetty, Woodside's beautiful 90 mile beach, Tarra Bulga National Parks, spectacular Agnes Falls and Wilson's Prom. Our camp sites have plenty of room we don't believe in cramming too many campers on the same site, you have plenty of space. Suitable for large caravans, camper trailers, motor homes and RV's these can all can fit here easily. Sites 1 - 2 situated in a 4 acre paddock on the main farm. Perfect for small camper vans, roof top tents and motor homes. Site 3-5 situated on part of a 7 acre paddock with views of the hills and of the kangaroos that come onto the paddocks of a night out of the Alberton West State Forest. This site is perfect for larger vans, RV's, camper vans, roof top tents, motor homes. Campfires are permitted (When there are no fire bans). No loud music, bring a camping toilet with you and take all rubbish with you. You'll need to have your own amenities/be FULLY- self contained however if you don't have your own toilet, camp shower or fire pit you can hire them. We have an abundance of native birds on our property. Rosella's, Kookaburras, Wedge Tail Eagles and sometimes Galah's. Just down the paddock on dawn and dusk we have a mob of kangaroos that come out of the bush to graze.
