Welcome to Nanadhong Views. Nanadhong is the local indigenous name for the Cathedral Range. We are located on the western slope of the Cathedral with beautiful views to its peak as well as across the Acheron valley to the Black Range and South to Dom Dom and the Black Spur. This property was previously a home site but was burned out in the 2009 fires. Now being returned to nature and available for camping only. Two dams and a seasonal creek attract birds and local wildlife. A total of 30 acres is available for exploring and enjoying the views. This private location has a single site with power and water, suitable for two vans or several camper trailers, a flushing toilet and further grassed areas suitable for tents and camper trailers. A camp shelter currently under construction will provide somewhere out of the weather with lighting, water and power available. The property is located 30 minutes from Lake mountain where you can ski during winter or hike and mountain bike during summer. Lake Eildon is also 30 minutes away and a great venue for fishing, swimming and boating. The Acheron, Rubicon and Goulburn rivers are close by and suitable for fishing and kayaking. Mountain bike riders can also try the tracks at Buxton or Eildon. There are many hiking/walking options including the historical Rubicon Valley just 20 minutes away. If you are into 4wd’ing or trail bikes there are many tracks in the Black Range across the road or the Big River area.

We are situated between Healesville sanctuary and the penguins at Phillip Island plus BawBaw is just over an hour away. Puffin Billy is also close by at Emerald lake Locally we have wineries, restaurants such as Omy, The independent and Jason’s. There is a few apple orchards near by one with a cafe attached to their distillery. The property is a working farm specialising in horse riding lessons. Horse riding lessons are available if pre booked. $150 per lesson. The camp site is literally up the back paddock and just under an hour from Melbourne. It is 4wd access only. And you will need to be an experienced 4wd driver. Bathroom facilities are located at the front of the prop;erty and the camp ground is at the back.

50 acres of beautiful country property with amazing views of Mt Cathedral and surrounding areas. 90 min drive NE of Melbourne, close to Marysville, Lake Mountain and Lake Eildon. There is plenty to do in the area including local wineries, olive farms, horse riding, bushwalking, mountain bike riding. The space is a campsite only, you may camp anywhere on the property, the host will guide you to the best spots. There are 2 dams and a seasonal creek. The driveway leads up a hill and then you can find your own space! Note there is no running water or power, BYO toilet. Small fires are allowed but you must clean up after your stay and local fire laws must be adhered to. Pets are most welcome but please ensure they don't disturb the cattle or wildlife!

Weekend Trip to Reedy Creek Camping

This is a great spot for a weekend away from Melbourne with a pooch. It's easy access, plenty of shade, beautiful large clean dam for swimming. There are a few local cars that go by and I have heard a bit of shooting both times I've camped here. Apart from that, private, quiet and very pretty.

Great spot and very private. Nice area to explore and do walking trips, dogs loved it. Unfortunatley could stay only 1 night instead of two due to really heavy rain (our set up is not that advanced…) But would book it again.

Loved camping here! Plenty of places to set up the tents and go exploring. The campsite area was clean and well maintained. There were great views of the ranges and surrounding hills. Also the owners were very kind and considerate with our last minute group changes making it very flexible to adjust our costs. Would definitely consider visiting again in the future!

Beautiful spot. Alive with wildlife. Could hear some local traffic and lots of planes, but that was not a deterrent. Great star gazing, lucky enough to see the ISS. Cozy space. Would definitely come back.

This is a lovely site. There is enough flat area for pitching 3 family tents and room to kick a ball. The view is stunning. The flushing toilet was a bonus for our 4 year old! The potable water, wood supply and fire barrel made packing to go away easier. The hosts are very friendly. The directions to the site are very clear. I highly recommend this site.
