The site has a lovely sweeping bend that has water that's suitable for families to swim in with some shallow water for littlies to paddle in. There is also some lovely sand for the kids to play in. Locally you are in the middle of the two famous valleys which offer some amazing gourmet experiences. You are within minutes from the King valley or the ovens Valley. And 50mins from Bright with all the beautiful towns and attractions on the way. You're spoilt for choice in this location for wineries, restaurants, berry farms. Famous town of Beechworth is only 30mins. Ideal location if you feel like leaving the magic camp ground that will provide you with a real sense of peace and relaxation with not a building in sight. Kielock Homestead is a unique farm stay experience located centrally in the beautiful Kiewa Valley Victoria where you can camp right on the bank of the Kiewa River. Some of the activities available include fishing, swimming, bush walking, bird and animal watching and bike riding. If you choose you can join in on farm activities such as feeding the animals,  collecting eggs and planting/harvesting fruit and vegetables. We have a small market garden available where you can pick and purchase seasonal fresh produce, alternatively vegetable boxes and eggs are available by arrangement and delivered right to your campsite. Within the 200 acres of the property you will find it is home to many animals including kangaroos wombats platypus possums, bats and many bird and marine species. The main fish in the river are  trout and cod so if you would like to try your luck fishing this is the place for you.Some of the surrounding towns include Mt Beauty (20 mins), Yackandandah (30 mins), Bright (50 mins), Beechworth (50 mins) Falls Creek (60 mins) with the border towns of Albury and Wodonga only 50 mins away. These beautiful towns contain an array of boutique wineries, craft breweries, bakeries and cafes, or you can choose to follow a farm gate food trail.The area also provides opportunities to go horse-riding, bike riding on one of the many rail trails or be adventurous on the mountain bike tracks at Falls Creek in the warmer months with snow sports in winter. The surrounding mountain ranges offer numerous famous 4wd trails or you might like to try your hand at panning for gold.This is a working farm and our animals are our family. They are very friendly but only know us and not you so please do not enter their homes without us, but feel free to talk to them over the gates. Be aware that all fences are electric and are switched on at all times. There is a dedicated communal campfire area for use when fire restrictions permit and we request that no additional fire pits are created during your stay. As this is a working property we are unable to accommodate your pets. For biosecurity reasons there is a strict No Pet policy. We look forward to greeting you upon arrival and showing you to your campsite.

Incredible central and private location, set back off the Snow Road in Oxley, Northeast Victoria, boasting natural riverplain terrain with diverse ecology, lagoons and rivers onsite. There is plenty to do in the area from wineries to walking tracks, snow fields to breweries, not to mention renowned Brown Brothers Winery and the Milawa Cheese Factory, just down the road. There are tracks from your campsite that link to the sealed bike path which joins Wangaratta, Oxley and Milawa townships together. Then only a short walk, bike or scooter ride and you are at Miranda Winery, King River Cafe or Oxley Park (with playground and BBQ). There is also a communal swimming hole (King River) at the Stan Allen Reserve just before the Oxley Park. This is particularly great for the campsites that, although are perched on the banks of the King River, don’t have their own designated swimming hole. Also a key feature is, the irrigation during summer months keeping campsites green all year round as well as the natural lagoons to paddle in with the kayak. If you are a keen fisherman, the King River is known for Cod and if you have booked one of the southern most sites you will be able to paddle up the river in a kayak fishing, (kayak not supplied). There are no toilets available onsite and campers must be self-contained keeping in mind, there are toilet facilities at the Oxley Park. Pets are welcome but, must be contained within your site as there are livestock and other campers to consider. For more accuate information pertainnig to each site check out the specific listings/sites. Some sites are set up for group bookings and others for couples with pricing to match. Situated on 3 acres of land it has easy access from the road and clean water supply. The property is located five minute walk to Wangaratta’s riverside cafes, restaurants and the beautiful Ovens and King rivers.

Wandi Farm is a small scale produce farm under development. It is set on 3 acres on the eastern (sunny) side of the beautiful Wandiligong Valley, just 5 minute drive from Bright. The property is on the side of a hill, which provides spectacular valley views to the north. Our family live in the recently completed straw bale house on the property, which sits well below the camping sites. The property has a fully functional camp kitchen with a large deck as well as a bathroom with toilet and shower. Due to the slope the tent sites are not suitable for camp trailers (the tent sites are flat but there is nowhere flat to park a car next to it) and the tent sites are not suitable for vehicles. Therefore we can only accommodate people with tents/swags.

Lovely spot right infront of the dam where we spent a couple of the afternoons fishing after it cooled down. Walking distance to a lovely little winery. No shade from trees so make sure your own as it can get very hot. Kim responded quickly and was very helpful :)

Weekend Trip to Jackaleah Farm Stay - Camping

After being led to the wrong address by Apple Maps, Daniel’s directions were perfect. The camping site is just on the edge of the Oxley township which is very small, so we could walk in for coffee/breakfast. The site was off the road but we could hear the occasional passing car. The grazing cows were interested in our camp and kept their respective distance. There was no direct access to King River, although it was very close. Overall we loved the site and look forward to coming back.

Was only here for few hours over night before seeing family next day , scoped it out for future camping weekends. Will definitely come back ..in that short time I can't wait to come back... P.s but watch out for the cheeky cows when leaving the might not want to move.

Lovely place to camp, i only spent the night there but could happily spend a week there. The creek is pretty fast flowing when i was there but that spot is in front of the rapids so be careful if you have little ones, small dogs or older in age. But alot of nice places to swim just up from the camp spot less then a 2min walk. Camp fire was allowed and i was able to get purchase wood from the owner if needed. All in lovely spot and easy accessable. Unless the location had a decent amount of rain you wouldnt need a 4x4, 4x2 and common sense would be perfect.

Beautiful spot with large sites and felt private even with other campers around. It’s close to town and we loved spending the mornings out and about and the afternoons on the property exploring and playing in the creek. Loretta was a great host and we definitely hope to be back soon!

We loved our couple of nights at campsite 2. Such a beautiful place. Our site was in the middle of 3 but there was plenty of space either side to not have to worry about neighbours. The site had a large fire pit to enjoy in the evening. We would definitely consider staying again when in the area and highly recommend it to self contained campers

What a beautiful and secluded location right on the river.. We enjoyed meeting the farm animals and waking up in the morning to birdsong. Charles recommended a drive up the hill to watch the sunset and whilst we were too early for the sunset it is a view worth driving for.. we will be back.

Weekend Trip to High Country Paradise

Our family stayed the weekend and had a fantastic experience! We were warmly greeted by the friendly host and her lovely dog, which made us feel welcome straight away. The campsites were spacious and peaceful, with plenty of room to spread out! The creek was absolutely gorgeous- crystal clear and such a beautiful spot. Plenty of wildlife too! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, scenic getaway. There’s also a glamping tent for anyone wanting more luxury. We can’t wait to return in warmer weather to truly take advantage of the stunning creek. The only area for improvement would be the toilet block which could do with a tidy and stock up, but this certainly didn’t change our experience overall and we’d definitely return!

Exceeded my expectations! Absolutely beautiful spot. I camped for 2 nights with my sons aged 6 and 18 months. Perfect mix of swallow water swimming for the boys and deep water for adults. Caught a couple healthy looking fish as well. Will definitely be booking again. Thank you Sally!
