Enjoy the nearby King Valley wineries, rivers and creeks or simply kick back at camp and watch the Roos and cows in the paddock below. The caravan is ideal for a couple or small family. The track up to the campsite is 2wd accessible in dry weather for capable drivers. The caravan is set up with lights and a USB charger. There is a BBQ set up for you to use and basic pantry items (oil, salt, pepper etc) there is a lovely fire pit with logs bench seats but probably worth packing your camping chair. Ashlan is a working farm, and we also have an array of wildlife visiting. The property is a birdwatcher's delight, with a variety of species making the property home. If you like star gazing, you have found the right spot. We have no light pollution, so its the perfect place to take advantage of seeing the stars above. Unfortunately, as we are a working farm, the property is not pet friendly nor do we offer any animal experiences., however you may be lucky enough to see our friendly (and crazy goats). They do like a pat and love apples and mandarins. The cottage has three bedrooms and sleeps a maximum of six guests. Kitchen, wifi, laundry and BBQ. All guests will need to supply car registration details. This will give you access to the property. There is CCTV located at the front of the property and going up the driveway. We live onsite (in a separate house) if you need any assistance. You will need to bring your own supplies (food and drink) as the closest shop is 20 mins away. However feel free to go out for Friday night Fish and Chips at the Strathbogie Store, or check out the great country pubs at either Euroa or Violet Town. Just watch out for wildlife on the roads. Access to the property is also via approx 2kms of unsealed road. Ashlan Farm is 20 mins to Violet Town. Perfect if you wish to explore the Violet Town markets. 25 mins to Euroa 40 mins to both Benalla and Mansfield 90 minutes to Mt Buller

Enjoy the nearby King Valley wineries, rivers and creeks or simply kick back at camp and watch the Roos and cows in the paddock below. The caravan is ideal for a couple or small family. The track up to the campsite is 2wd accessible in dry weather for capable drivers. The caravan is set up with lights and a USB charger. There is a BBQ set up for you to use and basic pantry items (oil, salt, pepper etc) there is a lovely fire pit with logs bench seats but probably worth packing your camping chair. Ashlan is a working farm, and we also have an array of wildlife visiting. The property is a birdwatcher's delight, with a variety of species making the property home. If you like star gazing, you have found the right spot. We have no light pollution, so its the perfect place to take advantage of seeing the stars above. Unfortunately, as we are a working farm, the property is not pet friendly nor do we offer any animal experiences., however you may be lucky enough to see our friendly (and crazy goats). They do like a pat and love apples and mandarins. The cottage has three bedrooms and sleeps a maximum of six guests. Kitchen, wifi, laundry and BBQ. All guests will need to supply car registration details. This will give you access to the property. There is CCTV located at the front of the property and going up the driveway. We live onsite (in a separate house) if you need any assistance. You will need to bring your own supplies (food and drink) as the closest shop is 20 mins away. However feel free to go out for Friday night Fish and Chips at the Strathbogie Store, or check out the great country pubs at either Euroa or Violet Town. Just watch out for wildlife on the roads. Access to the property is also via approx 2kms of unsealed road. Ashlan Farm is 20 mins to Violet Town. Perfect if you wish to explore the Violet Town markets. 25 mins to Euroa 40 mins to both Benalla and Mansfield 90 minutes to Mt Buller

Weekend Trip to Blackwood Cabin
Blackwood cabin is in such a beautiful spot, it was so peaceful to listen to the nearby river and birds. The cabin is very cosy with the fireplace inside and very well appointed. It was a lovely place to spend a weekend and relax and visit neighbouring towns for dinner and sightseeing. Lovely and welcoming hosts, thank you for sharing your cabin with us!

Weekend Trip to Little Olive Cabin
Had the best night’s sleep at the Little Olive Cabin, it so peaceful and cosy. The welcome hamper was beyond generous, and we loved sitting out on the porch in the morning sunshine with breakfast and taking slow walks around the estate. Meeting the lovely owner Steve (who gave us chestnuts to roast in the fire!) made it feel even more special. Just such a wholesome, gorgeous experience all around.

Ann & Geoff were the most lovely hosts, very friendly and accommodating. The cabin was great, little outdoor show & toilet, nice firepit and hammock. Visited the hedge maze 5 mins up the road & the kids loved it, good coffee too. Thanks Ann & Geoff, we’ll be back.

Weekend Trip to Alpine Nature Experience
I was blown away by the adventure, and the delicious food left me thinking about it long after the weekend was over. The philosophy of Alpine Nature Experiences is to strip back everything you think you need, and focus on what’s truly luxurious - beautiful sunrises and sunsets, a warm fire, incredible wholesome food. This stay delivered all that and more. Highly recommend joining the Hike & Feast experience too, the hike through Mount Hotham was stunning and just the right amount of challenge.

It’s in a beautiful spot with plenty of bird life, a small stream only 200 meters away and a well presented log cabin with an open fire pit out the front. Minimal phone coverage but that suited us getting away for some chill time.
