The Valley of a Thousand Hills, Murchison's Gap

Boisdale - Carver's Flat

On 20 acres, covenanted as Land for Wildlife, Boisdale [pron. 'Bwah-Dale', from the French, meaning wood, or forest, valley] there's a permanent creek [the King Parrot] with swimming holes and paddling areas, and access to flat or gently undulating campsites in what must be one of the prettiest valleys in Australia - if not the world, but I am biased.Access is via a 14ft gate entry and ok for caravans being towed by 4WD. Also great for camper trailers, tent campers & swags. High clearance 2WD access is ok.We need campers to be self-sufficient with own amenities. This means own camping toilet and leave no trace. We want you to leave the space how you found it.We are dog friendly as long as they are well controlled.Campfires are permitted as long as restrictions aren't in place. Firewood can be gathered from fallen timber in the vicinity.BYO water. We have rainwater tanks at the house if you need to fill up drinking water in an emergency and access to mains power on application.

Galahad's Animal Sanctuary and B&B

Feel like getting away? Relax and unwind in our self contained in-house accommodation, enjoying panoramic views of Mt Macedon. Sleep in a luxurious king size four poster bed. You will have a separate entrance, bathroom & kitchenette with modern conveniences such as a coffee machine, microwave & oven.  As well as filtered water, Bluetooth stereo, TV, Netflix, DVDs, WiFi, games & books. Your own fully fenced garden, shared spa, shared outdoor washing machine, dryer & undercover outdoor dining table.

30 picturesque acres in Gisborne with views to Mount Macedon.  We are an animal rescue sanctuary and have rescued camels, horses, sheep, cows, donkeys, alpacas and chickens as well as dogs.  Please note these are very friendly animals, the 18 sheep are particularly friendly and curious.  The sheep roam the property.

The property has two dams, it is well treed with large open parts and has a beautiful view to Mount Macedon.  Kangaroos, possums and echidnas also live here.  

You are welcome to walk the property and visit the farm animals during your stay (as long as you stay on the outside of paddocks/yards).

Access for caravans and trailers. Gravel entrance. Can be boggy in wet weather - please check with me. No amenities so campers must have own toilet and leave no trace. Dogs permitted but must be well behaved and not chase livestock (on lead). Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place (gather your own).

Seven Hills Tallarook

Our property, "Seven Hills Tallarook", sits high above Tallarook with deep valleys and high peaks, just over one hour North of Melbourne's CBD. The property is 600 acres of thick Victorian bush and farmed paddocks. 

We have a wide range of hobby farm animals - pigs, sheep, cattle, alpacas, chickens, ponies, a donkey, along with commercial heard of South African Boer Goats. As night falls, the wildlife come out to play - kangaroos, rabbits, deer and wallabies

Internally, we have in excess of 10 kilometers of roads within the property, the majority being 2WD accessible (weather conditions apply). There are parts of the property which are only 4WD accessible. 

Our campsites are placed to allow you to be as isolated as possible - away from other campers (you may see others as you drive past, or they drive past you).

Magic Mountain

Nestled amongst the mountains just outside of the township of Whittlesea our 40-acre property sits above the clouds.  This experience comes with sweeping views, a hidden waterfall, a clear campground, and plenty of wildlife. 

The camping area is accessible by 4WD only, otherwise, strap on a backpack and earn it! (800m walk/hike from where a non-4WD can park). The waterfall is reached by a single trail track from the campsite, and you do need to be an experienced hiker to get to the waterfall. Which is part of the appeal! 

We welcome self-contained campers, who bring their own toilet and take all waste with them. We have a strict Leave No Trace policy.

Or choose to stay in our beautiful A-frame cabin, with plush bedding, cozy fire, and outdoor lounge.  More than anything else this is a place to relax and be away from normal, live outside yourself, and rediscover what weekends are for. 

Dogs are welcome, so long as they don't bother the wildlife. 

Campfires are allowed, BYO firewood or campers can collect fallen timber from the property.

Trevean Homestead

Quiet, peaceful area with
birdlife and wildlife surroundings. Just 1 hr to 1hr 20min travel time to
Spirit of Tasmania (less than 100km), 5 mins from the town centre and 6 mins to the state motorcycle track.

Central Victorian country with cleared undulating paddocks or wooded areas with views of Mount Piper.
Basic bush camping - no amenities so must be self-contained with own toilet and leave no trace. Pets on the application (and must be on a lead at all times).

The owner lives in the house on site, and has knowledge of and contact with the state motorcycle track, has been crew onboard the Spirit of Tasmania and can provide information and assistance with vessel contacts, as well as
helpful contacts in Tasmania.

Some spots available near trees, but generally it's an open natural area.

Other services and amenities may be available at the house with prior application. Be aware some chickens and geese roam freely around the site. Please drive slowly down driveway. Contact Host on or before arrival preferred.
