A short 20 minute drive from the Spirit of Tasmania Terminal, Ulverstone is the perfect base to commence a tour of Tasmania including some of the state’s popular attractions Cradle Mountain, Leven Canyon, Gunns Plains Caves and the Tarkine Coast. The unpowered site 7 was great. We virtually had the whole site to ourselves and the weather although cold was great. Close to Rocky Cape and Lanigans Winery which is well worth the visit.

We loved Crayfish Creek. We stayed at a powered site near the amenities block, which was really suitable with young kids. It was such a luxury to have hot showers as well! We stayed for 4 nights in this safe and beautiful location to be in - our family loved it. There are many little tracks around the place to explore, as well as the picturesque bush, creek and beach.

Great location to explore the surrounding area. Lush gardens with spaced out sites. Lovely to walk from the park out to the ocean at low tide. Dated but well functioning amenities including washers and dryers. Bring 20 cent and dollar coins for showers, washers and dryers.

What a lovely park, felt like a bush camp but with all the facilities! Lots of wildlife of a night and a great place to camp and explore The Nut, Arthur River, The Arch and Tarkine Way. Loved it!

Sandy’s Gates of Heaven truly lives up to its name. I was lucky enough to enjoy this beautiful property all to myself, and it was absolute bliss. The firepit added a perfect touch, and the trees sprinkled with soft lighting created a magical setting for stargazing and unwinding. Sandy was incredibly accommodating, and her attention to detail made the stay even more special. I couldn’t recommend this place more—already looking forward to my next visit!

We enjoyed the relaxed peacefulness of this camp spot. Surrounded by bush and bird sounds. The Camo is close to the road but was quiet still. The weather was beautiful while we were there so we didn't take the opportunity to make use of the fire pit area provided. We enjoyed a wander around the property and explored some of the tracks. The camp is just a short drive to Sheffield, Railton, Kimberly and even Mole Creek which would make it a great base to explore the sites around the area.

Lovely spot! Our site was very private and close to the beach/creek but others look less private so choose as you need. Owners are lovely! It was great being dog friendly and the facilities were good too. Hot showers, washing machine, and well maintained camp kitchen.
