We offer mountain views in a quiet country setting. Our small farm offers a flat camping spot or place for your motor home with it's own access. We do have a toilet for campers and wifi also at the farmhouse. Hire a fire pit with your booking and we'll supply some wood. Washing machine by arrangement. The Lilydale Pool is open 3-6pm in summer and is 1km and free for showers.
When you arrive with a big trailer enter through the WOODEN GATES and stay on the flat. Walk up and visit the farmhouse.
If you are after something more comfortable you can book the self contained cottage or villa in our other listing.

We have just put in a private dump point for guest convince.

Huckaway is a little camping oasis just off the Tasman Highway. Green pastures are bordered by forestry land to the East and a river to the South. Go for a bush walk through the forest, a swim or fish in the river, you might even find a trout!
This property is the perfect location if you are here to enjoy either the Derby trails or the St Helens trails with some of the shuttles going straight past the front gate! St Helens is a 15-minute drive away and The Bay of Fires is 30 mins.
The wide camping area has plenty of open flat space to park any type of caravan or van. Park down near the river, or tuck yourself in beside the forest, up to you.
All campers need to be self-contained, with their own camp toilet, and we kindly request you take all your waste with you. There is a dump station in St Helens.

The river is magic and the option to walk to town for a meal gave the kids something to look forward instead of another camp kitchen production! The welcome from James and Graham was terrific. An absolute amazing experience and place to stay. Beautiful bush setting by the river. Seeing the water and tide go in and out was magnificent. We brought our pup and had a wonderful fire of the evening. Do yourself a favour and stay here you won’t be disappointed.

This is a magical spot, we were spoiled with a magnificent view from our camp site watching the tide coming in and out. Sarah and Mark were fantastic hosts and the kids were very friendly and joined our kids in some games. We bought some firewood from Mark and had a sensational fire. We had an amazing stay at this beautiful creekside Hipcamp. The setting was incredibly peaceful with no one else around, making it the perfect place to relax, unplug, and enjoy nature.
James was a fantastic host, friendly, responsive, and made everything easy from start to finish. The site felt private, well cared for, and truly special.
If you’re looking for a quiet, serene getaway with a great host and a gorgeous natural setting, this place is a total gem. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it!

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted and taken care of. The space is a mix of bushy or open with the ability to choose where best suits you to set up. We followed the hosts suggestion to camp in an open area away from a large group for more peace and quiet.
My friend and I booked two sites and had our 4 dogs with us who were able to have them off lead and they were much happier and relaxed than when they have to be secured. They also had the kids come and play with them which they absolutely loved.
We really enjoyed having the kids show us the estuary and crabs. We really felt like we were an extension of the family during our stay and would happily stay here solo.
Looking forward to staying here again soon!

Peaceful, Spacious and Picturesque views only 5mins from Derby Mountain Bike Trails and basic shops (IGA) for supplies.
Rosie is a welcoming host making time to chat about the area.
Recommend first timers take a peak in the shipping container for some good info and activities for all ages.
