Discover a cute beachside spot for roadtrippers on the Yorke Peninsula.
In a country full of charming place names, South Australia’s Tiddy Widdy Beach is a strong contender for the top spot. But Tiddy Widdy campers will find more to enjoy than just snapping selfies beside the street signs—it’s a great place to watch birds, fish for crabs, and hike along the cliffs. As the name suggests, Tiddy Widdy is a tiny place, so camping options are limited in town. Campers can find more pasture sites and beachside caravan parks at nearby Ardrossan and along the St. Vincent Highway that follows the eastern coast of the Yorke Peninsula. The flamingo-hued pink lakes of the peninsula are less than an hour’s drive south of Tiddy Widdy, making a fun day trip or next overnight stop, and the cliffy Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park is less than two hours’ drive away.
