Find coastal camping, crabbing, and watersports on South Australia’s Yorke Peninsula.
On the eastern coast of South Australia’s Yorke Peninsula, little Pine Point is a handy base for camping and outdoor adventures on the peninsula. Although it used to be one of the busiest ports on the peninsula, now Pine Point is a peaceful spot where you can go swimming, fishing, boating, and crabbing. There are well-equipped caravan parks in town, typically with beach access and BBQ facilities. Further camping options are available up and down the coast at nearby spots, including Ardrossan, Tiddy Widdy Beach, and Black Point. Coastal towns in the area offer similar outdoor activities. The dramatic cliffy Dhilba Guuranda–Innes National Park is about 80 minutes’ drive south and offers hiking, fishing, and birdwatching for day trippers and simple campsites and restored historic cottages for travellers staying a bit longer.
