We live in a beautiful hidden valley on 30 acres, We're joined by friendly dogs, horses, alpacas, rabbits, guinea pigs, 2 lovely Camels, 2 cheeky pigs, Galloway cows and chooks, along with the resident wildlife including many birds, kangaroos, koalas, shy owls, and even an echidna! All this, plus beautiful views from atop our hills, right to the lake, and the delightful winter creek complete with frogs.
We are close to the McLaren Vale wine region as well as wineries throughout the Hills and 35 minutes to the coast of Victor Harbor. The Greenman Inn is 5 minutes down the road and has wonderful food from Wed to Sun if you do not feel the urge to cook with wood fires for the cold nights or a gorgeous outdoor area for the warmer months.
At present, we offer two areas for camping. Topspot which has lovely views and is quite secluded amongst the tree tops. This site is suitable for tents and camper trailers (need reasonable backing skills and 4WD)
The Laneway which is close to the babbling creek is suitable for those with a small caravan, or motorhome, 2WD etc, along with tent campers. (but would struggle with large caravans/motorhomes - please check with hosts)
(The Lookout/Highview has spectacular views Please note this site is currently closed due to stock rotation.)
If you have any doubts about which to book, please ask.
AUTUMN/WINTER MONTHS: if we receive considerable rain the trek up to the hill sites could become slippery and not accessible as it is a farm paddock, therefore unfortunately your booking may need to be cancelled.
NOTE: On our farm there is limited phone coverage in the valley (The Laneway).
Pets are welcome, however, please ensure they are kept under control (unless discussed with the host) at all times.
Please note: This is an active small farm, therefore work may need be continued throughout your stay possibly necessitating the use of machinery and tending to our livestock. If you wish to see some of the animals up close, please let us know and we will try to accommodate. We ask that all fires be contained within the fire pit provided and a portable toilet is available for your use.
BUSHFIRE SEASON: Wood and open fires are not permitted in the bushfire season, therefore you will not be able to use the fire pits.

Humpy Springs is a serene retreat just 3 minutes from McLaren Flat, nestled in the foothills of the locality known as "The Range," which stretches northeast from Willunga Hill toward Kangarilla. Multiple cellar door wineries are within a 5-minute drive, along with breweries, dining, and all the services McLaren Vale has to offer, just 7 minutes away.
The campsite sits on one of the hills with a predominantly north-easterly aspect, overlooking gullies and gum trees. Due to its elevation, some times of the year can be windy, so it’s best to check forecasts before arrival. The highlight of Humpy Springs is a natural spring-fed freshwater lake, accessible by a short bush walk down steep hills or by 4WD via approved tracks. Swim or kayak at your own risk, with a pontoon and ladder for easy access. Kayaks can be hired for the duration of your stay.
This lake is a peaceful sanctuary, surrounded by rugged hills, ducks, and occasionally grazing kangaroos. It’s our favorite feature, offering calm and tranquility at every visit. For those who enjoy bushwalking or hiking, a track leads to the top of the hills, revealing stunning views over McLaren Flat, Blewitt Springs, and out to Moana and the coast. The hike takes roughly an hour, mostly gentle with a short steep 50-meter section near the lake.
The sites are natural, with no amenities provided, so campers must be self-sufficient. There is space for camp trailers and caravans, ideally pulled by 4WD vehicles due to the topography. Firewood is available at a minimal cost—please advise when booking so it can be calculated based on nights and guests.
Humpy Springs offers a perfect blend of nature, adventure, and tranquility. Spend your days exploring the lake, walking the trails, or visiting local wineries, and your evenings relaxing under gum trees, listening to birds, and watching the sunset. Obviously vehicles lengths vary. Vans larger than 18ft will need experienced drivers who have towed in tighter locations and know how the wheels track behind the tow vehicle. Larger vans will need to take care. Under 18ft vans will easily fit, but care also needed.
Family hobby farm on six green acres in the historical town of Clarendon (Toondilla), just half an hour south of Adelaide. Set in a gully with a winter creek (Willow Creek) running through (dry in warmer months). Conveniently located within walking distance to the main street of Clarendon - five minutes to the Bakery and 10 minutes to the Royal Oak Hotel and General Store!
The property offers the best views of Clarendon via a short walk to the top paddock. There is a limit of 2 private, protected campsites near the creek, each well-maintained and level, with scattered gum trees that provide lovely shade in the morning and afternoon.
Camp Toondilla is set up for self-contained campers who bring their own camp toilet and take all waste with them when they go. Well-behaved pets are welcome.
Plenty of options in the area to keep the outdoor enthusiast busy, including: nearby wineries (some dog friendly), beaches (Moana and Aldinga/Silver Sands can be driven on), reservoirs (Mt Bold - hiking and views) and (Happy Valley - hiking, running, kayaking, fishing), Onkaparinga National Park and Scott Creek Conservation Park, ForestrySA land (including TreeClimb, Bone Gully MTB and parkrun on Saturdays at The Avenues - Kuitpo (Your host is the Event Director).

Ranges and is
on the Bremer River in Rockleigh.
This site was once a overnight yard for the sheep farmers who were passing through the area.
We have three separate locations for campers to choose from. The Gums-
surrounded by small gum trees right near the Bremer River. The Carob- this site is situated
further back from the river and is surrounded by mulberry trees. Lastly we have The Sticks- this site is behind the scrubby bushed and
requires tight access and is more suited to tents and swags.
The decent into camp is quite narrow and steep so please drive carefully.
We are 45 minute drive
from the Lavender Federation Trail which is a popular walking track in the region.
We are only 30 minutes drive from
Monarto Conservation Park
which is a popular spot for walking trails and picnics. Monarto is also home to a Safari Park which is the largest Safari Park in Australia and home to lots of interesting animals.

Willow Glen is set in the Adelaide Hills on 10 acres, close to Hahndorf and bordering the Onkaparinga River. The property is a private farm with 2 dams and views extending across the valley.
There are a number of suitable locations to for bush camping. Site access is limited to dry weather and vehicles with single axle camper trailer or tent. Vehicles with higher ground clearance are more suitable. The River Upstream is the flattest of the campgrounds if you require a completely level site for your vehicle.
A number of alpacas and sheep share the camp grounds. Sites suit bush camping with limited amenities. Potable water is available upon request but there are no toilets or services on site.
There are a number of great wineries in the area all with excellent food and produce you can enjoy.

Edgehill Farm Stays is located between Barossa and Clare Valley, 7km out of Riverton, and 1 hour north of Adelaide. We run a sheep and cropping farm which creates beautiful camping grounds at the foot of the hills, just below the Heysen Trail.
The campsites are located on the pasture paddocks of the farm with sheep roaming the area, so dogs on leashes at all times, and please pick up after them. With large distances between other campers, each site can cater for large groups, with no close neighbours. The sites are at least 2km away from busy roads, so absolute peace and privacy!
There's a beautiful push bike ride from Riverton to Clare Valley and all the wineries are along the way. Plenty of room at the property for kids to ride their push bikes.
Fantastic sunsets and sunrises from all sites, and at its best at the SUNSET BAA. Beautiful bird noises, including the kookaburras having a laugh.
There's a very very basic "long drop toilet" pit toilet located near the Gumtree paddock
and 5 others shared, down close to the camping paddocks, if not wanting to use shared toilets, please bring and supply your own portable toilet.
Great Hotels/pubs to dine in at Tarlee and Riverton. Emporium cafe for the best coffee in Riverton

Flat cropping and grazing property with a rise up at the Eastern end where a native forest and scrub exists. There are two creek lines joining to make a single stream with four dams also on the property. Potential for vineyard and with an airfield close by and a quality dirt road running along the Western boundary and a surveyed road along the northern boundary this site makes for easy walking and is within short distances to some of the best cellar doors in the Barossa. Kaiser Stuhl National Park is only a short drive away over the lookout at Mengler’s Hill and the Heyson Trail runs through the hill at the Eastern end. Permission may be needed to access other private properties adjoining, however.
Wineries close by include Jacob’s Creek Visitors Centre, Rockfords, Grant Burge Cellar Door, St Hugo’s, Charles Melton, Moorooroo Cellar Door or Jacob’s Creek Retreat. Tanunda is only a 5-10 min drive away where a great range of food outlets and a wider range of cellar doors exist. The helpful staff at the Visitor’s Centre in Murray St can assist with answering questions and most services are catered for in the town’s centre.
This site’s location lends itself to quite short or long term stays with close access to the fruits of the Barrosa. There are recharge and excellent public facilities at the Visitor Centre and links to Barossa Balloon Adventures if desired.
There are no facilities, so campers must be 100% self-contained, taking all waste and rubbish with them when they leave.

Welcome to our home Tanah Merdeka! Enjoy a private and picturesque camp-site by the creek with views of rolling hills, rocky outcrops and ancient gumtrees. Watch the Kangaroos and the birdlife, see if you can spot a yabbee or frog in the creek and sit back and unwind.
Tanah Merdeka is a 184 acre cattle farm currently stocked with Black Baldies, Speckle Park, Angus and Hereford.
The creek line paddocks are dedicated to Hipcampers, so you can be assured your campsite won't be interrupted by curious cows during your stay. We can't say the same for the wild kangaroos that call Tanah Merdeka home though.
Please be respectful of the working nature of the property and shut any gates you go through except for the automatic gates. Please respect our privacy and don't venture up the driveway towards the house.
You are welcome to walk through and explore the paddocks containing the creek line. Do not drive across the creek - walking and bicycles only.
Please do not feed the wildlife or the cattle and practice leave no trace camping. For stays longer than one night campers must bring a portable chemical toilet. Use only the firepit provided and comply with current fire danger restrictions. Some firewood may be available next to the firepit but please bring your own firewood if intending to have a fire as this can't be guaranteed.
Dogs are allowed off lead within the fenced camping paddock but be aware of grass seeds.

We are a Poll Merino sheep stud and a wheat/barley cropping farm at Emu Downs in the Mid North of SA. We have resurrected this character old workers quarters which we've turned into a rustic, peaceful abode for you to enjoy.
Sleeps four (double bed, single bed and old miners couch,). Bring your own bedding. There is a flushing external toilet and a bush shower (ie: a shower bag, provided).
The room with the open fire can be utilised as a kitchen/living area. We've provided crockery, cutlery, glasses, kettles and a camp oven. There is running cold rainwater into the sink. Cooking can be done on the open fire, or use the small camp gas cookers. There is also a gas BBQ in the outdoor room. If you are really brave, try your hand at camp oven cooking in the campfire. There is no power, only lighting provided from a small solar panel/battery.
Extra guests welcome in tents, swags or vans adjacent to the cottage. To ensure only one group of campers at a time, THE COTTAGE HAS TO BE BOOKED FIRST, then book the extra campers through the additional campsites listing.
Eckert's Old Place is within an easy drive to the Clare Valley wine regions and historic Robertstown, Burra and Eudunda.

We live in a beautiful hidden valley on 30 acres, We're joined by friendly dogs, horses, alpacas, rabbits, guinea pigs, 2 lovely Camels, 2 cheeky pigs, Galloway cows and chooks, along with the resident wildlife including many birds, kangaroos, koalas, shy owls, and even an echidna! All this, plus beautiful views from atop our hills, right to the lake, and the delightful winter creek complete with frogs.
We are close to the McLaren Vale wine region as well as wineries throughout the Hills and 35 minutes to the coast of Victor Harbor. The Greenman Inn is 5 minutes down the road and has wonderful food from Wed to Sun if you do not feel the urge to cook with wood fires for the cold nights or a gorgeous outdoor area for the warmer months.
At present, we offer two areas for camping. Topspot which has lovely views and is quite secluded amongst the tree tops. This site is suitable for tents and camper trailers (need reasonable backing skills and 4WD)
The Laneway which is close to the babbling creek is suitable for those with a small caravan, or motorhome, 2WD etc, along with tent campers. (but would struggle with large caravans/motorhomes - please check with hosts)

AUTUMN/WINTER MONTHS: if we receive considerable rain the trek up to the hill sites could become slippery and not accessible as it is a farm paddock, therefore unfortunately your booking may need to be cancelled.
NOTE: On our farm there is limited phone coverage in the valley (The Laneway).
Pets are welcome, however, please ensure they are kept under control (unless discussed with the host) at all times.
Please note: This is an active small farm, therefore work may need be continued throughout your stay possibly necessitating the use of machinery and tending to our livestock. The campsite sits on one of the hills with a predominantly north-easterly aspect, overlooking gullies and gum trees. Due to its elevation, some times of the year can be windy, so it’s best to check forecasts before arrival. The highlight of Humpy Springs is a natural spring-fed freshwater lake, accessible by a short bush walk down steep hills or by 4WD via approved tracks. Swim or kayak at your own risk, with a pontoon and ladder for easy access. Kayaks can be hired for the duration of your stay.
This lake is a peaceful sanctuary, surrounded by rugged hills, ducks, and occasionally grazing kangaroos. It’s our favorite feature, offering calm and tranquility at every visit. For those who enjoy bushwalking or hiking, a track leads to the top of the hills, revealing stunning views over McLaren Flat, Blewitt Springs, and out to Moana and the coast. The hike takes roughly an hour, mostly gentle with a short steep 50-meter section near the lake.
The sites are natural, with no amenities provided, so campers must be self-sufficient. There is space for camp trailers and caravans, ideally pulled by 4WD vehicles due to the topography. Firewood is available at a minimal cost—please advise when booking so it can be calculated based on nights and guests.
Humpy Springs offers a perfect blend of nature, adventure, and tranquility. This site was once a overnight yard for the sheep farmers who were passing through the area.
We have three separate locations for campers to choose from. The Gums-
surrounded by small gum trees right near the Bremer River. The Carob- this site is situated
further back from the river and is surrounded by mulberry trees. Lastly we have The Sticks- this site is behind the scrubby bushed and
requires tight access and is more suited to tents and swags.
The decent into camp is quite narrow and steep so please drive carefully.

from the Lavender Federation Trail which is a popular walking track in the region.

There are a number of suitable locations to for bush camping. Site access is limited to dry weather and vehicles with single axle camper trailer or tent. Vehicles with higher ground clearance are more suitable. The River Upstream is the flattest of the campgrounds if you require a completely level site for your vehicle.
A number of alpacas and sheep share the camp grounds. Sites suit bush camping with limited amenities. Potable water is available upon request but there are no toilets or services on site.

Edgehill Farm Stays is located between Barossa and Clare Valley, 7km out of Riverton, and 1 hour north of Adelaide. We run a sheep and cropping farm which creates beautiful camping grounds at the foot of the hills, just below the Heysen Trail.
The campsites are located on the pasture paddocks of the farm with sheep roaming the area, so dogs on leashes at all times, and please pick up after them. With large distances between other campers, each site can cater for large groups, with no close neighbours. The sites are at least 2km away from busy roads, so absolute peace and privacy!
There's a beautiful push bike ride from Riverton to Clare Valley and all the wineries are along the way. Plenty of room at the property for kids to ride their push bikes.
Fantastic sunsets and sunrises from all sites, and at its best at the SUNSET BAA. Beautiful bird noises, including the kookaburras having a laugh.
There's a very very basic "long drop toilet" pit toilet located near the Gumtree paddock
and 5 others shared, down close to the camping paddocks, if not wanting to use shared toilets, please bring and supply your own portable toilet.

The campsite is set on a hill with a view . It is not a parkland but offers a true taste of nature with native grass and vegetation .

Bushwalk on the property or Rock climb at nearby Morialta falls / hike Cleland / Mt Lofty or use the Grove as a base to expore the nearby Heysen trail , the many bakeries , eateries , wineries, breweries and distilleries nearby . Visit historic Marble Hill residence on open days, or enjoy many of the many events the Adelaide hills has on offer. ( Medieval fair / Adelaide rally / SALA / bay to Birdwood / Anzac / country fairs to name a few )
Enjoy pure Marble Hill spring Water ... Roast some chestnuts * over the campfire or gather some wild blackberries* , or mushrooms *. ( * in season ) .

Flat cropping and grazing property with a rise up at the Eastern end where a native forest and scrub exists. There are two creek lines joining to make a single stream with four dams also on the property. Potential for vineyard and with an airfield close by and a quality dirt road running along the Western boundary and a surveyed road along the northern boundary this site makes for easy walking and is within short distances to some of the best cellar doors in the Barossa. Kaiser Stuhl National Park is only a short drive away over the lookout at Mengler’s Hill and the Heyson Trail runs through the hill at the Eastern end. Permission may be needed to access other private properties adjoining, however.
Wineries close by include Jacob’s Creek Visitors Centre, Rockfords, Grant Burge Cellar Door, St Hugo’s, Charles Melton, Moorooroo Cellar Door or Jacob’s Creek Retreat. Tanunda is only a 5-10 min drive away where a great range of food outlets and a wider range of cellar doors exist. The helpful staff at the Visitor’s Centre in Murray St can assist with answering questions and most services are catered for in the town’s centre.
This site’s location lends itself to quite short or long term stays with close access to the fruits of the Barrosa. There are recharge and excellent public facilities at the Visitor Centre and links to Barossa Balloon Adventures if desired.
There are no facilities, so campers must be 100% self-contained, taking all waste and rubbish with them when they leave.

Welcome to our home Tanah Merdeka! Enjoy a private and picturesque camp-site by the creek with views of rolling hills, rocky outcrops and ancient gumtrees. Watch the Kangaroos and the birdlife, see if you can spot a yabbee or frog in the creek and sit back and unwind.
Tanah Merdeka is a 184 acre cattle farm currently stocked with Black Baldies, Speckle Park, Angus and Hereford.
The creek line paddocks are dedicated to Hipcampers, so you can be assured your campsite won't be interrupted by curious cows during your stay. We can't say the same for the wild kangaroos that call Tanah Merdeka home though.
Please be respectful of the working nature of the property and shut any gates you go through except for the automatic gates. Please respect our privacy and don't venture up the driveway towards the house.
You are welcome to walk through and explore the paddocks containing the creek line. Do not drive across the creek - walking and bicycles only.
Please do not feed the wildlife or the cattle and practice leave no trace camping. For stays longer than one night campers must bring a portable chemical toilet. Use only the firepit provided and comply with current fire danger restrictions. Some firewood may be available next to the firepit but please bring your own firewood if intending to have a fire as this can't be guaranteed.
Dogs are allowed off lead within the fenced camping paddock but be aware of grass seeds.

We are a Poll Merino sheep stud and a wheat/barley cropping farm at Emu Downs in the Mid North of SA. We have resurrected this character old workers quarters which we've turned into a rustic, peaceful abode for you to enjoy.
Sleeps four (double bed, single bed and old miners couch,). Bring your own bedding. There is a flushing external toilet and a bush shower (ie: a shower bag, provided).
The room with the open fire can be utilised as a kitchen/living area. We've provided crockery, cutlery, glasses, kettles and a camp oven. There is running cold rainwater into the sink. Cooking can be done on the open fire, or use the small camp gas cookers. There is also a gas BBQ in the outdoor room. If you are really brave, try your hand at camp oven cooking in the campfire. There is no power, only lighting provided from a small solar panel/battery.
Extra guests welcome in tents, swags or vans adjacent to the cottage. To ensure only one group of campers at a time, THE COTTAGE HAS TO BE BOOKED FIRST, then book the extra campers through the additional campsites listing.
Eckert's Old Place is within an easy drive to the Clare Valley wine regions and historic Robertstown, Burra and Eudunda.
Campfires welcome when not in fireban season. You can order a wheelbarrow load for $30, or bring your own. Dogs are permitted, but please understand, we are a sheep stud and need to ensure no disturbance from dogs. Please advise if you intend to bring your dog.

We loved having a van at Steven’s place. Flat, quiet and beautiful trees surrounding. It was a bit tight getting in and out but enough room to manoeuvre once on the flat. Easy walk to town, and short drive to plenty of attractions in the area. Steven was a great help with local knowledge and tips on places to visit.

Weekend Trip to Eckert’s Old Place
Our group of 10 (some love proper camping, others not so much) very much enjoyed our time at eckerts old place.
Being able to have a quick shower, have access to a flushing toilet and shelter when windy/rainy made all the difference!
Will definitely be making a return, maybe when it’s a little cooler to cozy around the fire pit!

We had a great stay at Chris and Philip’s place. They were helpful with answering any questions that we had and checking in with us which was lovely. The property was beautiful and quiet, the cottage was clean and had everything we need including a nice spot of well kept grass to relax on. It was also amazing to see the history and read about and see the photos of the restoration that has been done at the cottage, we truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay again.

Camping at Kangaroo Creek was lovely! Thomas met us upon arrival and told us about his beautiful land (and his adorable cows!). He was really nice and let us explore the grounds.
The camp spot was private, quiet and was great for pitching our tent. We even saw a couple of kangaroos and a lot of cockatoos! The drive there was easy with a 2WD.
We would definitely go back, and I can recommend it to everyone regardless of camping style!

Had an excellent time at this spot, tucked away on a nicely grassed area. Steve was more than welcoming. There was a zipline and swings for the kids to play and there are also some resident koala’s you can spot in the trees. We would definitely stay again if we head to South Australia again!
