Enjoy the flora, native animals and abundant birdlife or just relax by the campfire with the cooling sea breezes to add to the comfort and laid back lifestyle beside your own private open fire. You can have the best of both worlds, the bush on one hand and the bay on the other with Caboolture River boat ramp just 5 minutes away, giving you access to Moreton Bay. So why not kick back and relax away from the stress of city life. Lakeview is a private property not a commercial business, Lakeview is suitable for self-sufficient campers. There are no amenities, so you need to bring or hire your own. All payments are accepted as a donation to help maintain the grounds for our extended Lakeview family. Dogs permitted, see our FAQs in Property Rules. Campfires permitted, see our FAQs in Property Rules. Firewood is available to purchase, Honesty box on site. Please read the cancelation/credit policy as set and prescribed through the hipcamp platform. The campsite is situated on the beach, sheltered by the sheoaks in the back dunes. At the rear of the campsite lies a freshwater lagoon, locally known as the keyholes. Currently, there are four sites available to be booked. There is a camp kitchen with a two gas burner, all pots and pans, plates and cutlery with table and chairs to sit at. There is also a big esky there to use for either your food or drinks. Fresh water is provided in twenty litre drums. The bush shower works on the keg being heated up just like a kettle. Once it is hot then a nice warm shower is to be had to wash off all the salt from the ocean. There is also two compost toilets for your convenience. A unique feature includes the opportunity for surfing, fishing, and swimming in your private lagoon. A short drive will take you to Point Lookout. 10 minutes and you are at the pub mixing with the locals. Access is via the beach only and tides are a consideration. Please check "Point Lookout tides" on Willy Weather. I don't normally travel on the beach if the tide is over 1.5 metres. A 4 wheel drive vehicle is required. Camper trailers can be brought in as they are light. Caravans are not permitted due to the tight turning circles.
