Weekend Trip to Nature's Edge Cottage & Campsites.
A beautiful and peaceful space with everything you need. Well equipped kitchen, comfy bed, vege garden, birds, frogs, privacy. I loved using the outdoor bath. Bathroom and toilet spaces are very functional and clean.
I love that there is no phone service, beautiful space to connect with nature. Used herbs and lots of beautiful spinach from the garden.
Kenilworth and Imbil towns 15 minute drive, and can get service there if you need.
Glen and Dominique are friendly and respect your privacy. Thank you so much guys.

Weekend Trip to Nature's Edge Cottage & Campsites.
We enjoyed a lovely stay at dragonfly cottage. It has everything you could possibly need and the kitchen is very well appointed.
The bathroom and outdoor toilet is very luxurious and we felt like it was a hotel standard of bathroom.
It was a very hot weekend but luckily there was a fan in the cottage that ran off 12 V power so we managed to stay cool at night.
Perfect for a couple, I think it might be a stretch with more than two adults.
Glen was very communicative and helpful. We would definitely consider coming back.

The cottage was lovely and a perfect break from technology. The river was walking distance for a swim which was nice.
There was a couple of things such as the outdoor lighting (didnt work) and the pond (very smelly if the wind was blowing the wrong way) needed some TLC. But overall a good stay.

We really enjoyed our stay, a first time experience for us staying off grid. Glen and Dominique have really put thought into Dragonfly Cottage. We loved the bathroom, kitchen and outdoor area ( the car stereo with playlist was a nice touch ) The perfect place to escape and be with nature and we had plenty to keep us entertained during out stay. Would definitely recommend

We had a nice stay at Dragonfly Cottage Off-Grid Getaway. The location is peaceful, secluded, and surrounded by nature. It’s close to the Mary River for a swim or paddle, and Kenilworth is just a short drive away if you need supplies.
The cabin is cozy and well-equipped with the essentials for a comfortable stay. The bathrooms were a nice surprise—more luxurious than you might expect from the rustic exterior.
If you're after a quiet retreat, this is a good spot to switch off and unwind.

It was so nice to stay in this cottage. Excellent environment and deep rain forest. The property is built in the middle of deep forest surrounded by big trees and bush. The cottage is the ideal design of old home. Totally refreshing and very cozy. Strongly recommend.

Where to go
Moreton Bay
Just south of Mooloolaba, white-sand beaches stretch along the shores of Moreton Bay, but the real highlight is cruising around the bay’s many islands. Pitch your tent by the beach on Bribie Island, spot wild dolphins as you swim and snorkel around Moreton Island, or combine lazy beach days with wildlife watching on North Stradbroke Island.
Sunshine Coast
Mooloolaba is ideally situated for exploring the rest of the Sunshine Coast. Head south to the beaches of Caloundra, a hot spot for water sports, and spot koalas and kangaroos at Australia Zoo. To the north, the surf town of Noosa Heads has some of the region’s best coastal walks, as well as thrilling 4WD beach drives through the Great Sandy National Park.
Sunshine Coast Hinterland
A short drive inland, the rolling hills and farmlands of the Sunshine Coast Hinterlands offer a change of scenery for campers. Hikers can explore the unique landscapes of the Glass House Mountains, climb to the summit of Mount Tibrogargan, or enjoy woodland walks in the Beerburrum State Forest. For foodies, many artisan producers have opened their doors to visitors, so add a visit to a macadamia farm, ginger factory, or honey farm to your itinerary.
When to go
As the name suggests, sunny days are plentiful along the Sunshine Coast, so pack for warm weather even in winter (June through August). Summer (December through January) is peak season, when the town hosts several open-air events and festivals, but plan ahead if visiting at this time—coastal campsites can book up months in advance.
Know before you go
- The Sunshine Coast has an excellent public transport service, but having your own transport is useful for exploring the hinterlands and national parks.
- Mooloolaba has a large selection of shops where you can pick up camping gear and stock up on supplies before heading out into the hinterlands.
- Fire bans are common in Queensland during summer and dry periods, so check local recommendations before lighting your campfire and always use designated fire pits.
