Gabrielle's Retreat

6 sites · RVs13 acres · Tyalgum, NSW
Situated in the Caldera under the shadow of Mount Warning is a small secluded acreage within the bend of a large creek. It is comprised of an open creek flat with views of the mountain and horses grazing that is surrounded by some remnant and some regenerated subtropical rainforest along the creek frontage. There are a couple of small private swimming holes and walking tracks along the creek where you can stop and sit for some quiet contemplation, watch the native birdlife, do some forest bathing, or maybe even spot some local platypus or other native wildlife. We offer 4 separate powered sites, that you are welcome to choose from on arrival based on availability. NOTE: two private power sites are available upon request on arrival , if conditions are favourable . You will need to have two power leads to hook to power though. We have room for large caravans, motorhomes and buses. Please note, one vehicle/caravan per site. If you have multiple vehicles/caravans, you will need to book multiple sites. Weather permitting (no rain) we also have two unpowered sites available in another paddock, closer to the creek. There is no power or water at these sites, and you will need to be self-contained. We also have a gazebo/camp kitchen available to all guests where you can relax and take in the tranquil atmosphere of the property. Running water, power, and BBQ are supplied here. All campers must be self-contained at this time, with their own camp toilet. We have Telstra mobile reception here only.

When possible, I'll meet you on the road and guide you in for the first time. You will have good directions after booking and meeting you would not be essential. The number of people on the property must not exceed the number of people booked, *this includes day visitors. As we are right up a valley on a single lane road traffic must be kept to a minimum. We recommend you do a supermarket shop before coming out here. Bicycles are great in this region. It is a 20-minute drive to some of the most beautiful quiet beaches on this coast, 35 mins to the popular Byron Bay and 40 minutes to Tweed heads/Ballina or Gold coast Queensland. This area is mixed farming and Burringbar town offers most services. These include, a very good Butcher, Post Office, General store, a nice Café. Also, a classic sports club does a dinner from Wednesdays onwards and there is a Thai as well, they do a good takeaway. The fishing village of Brunswick heads operates throughout the week and is very popular. Pottsville is also very close with many amenities. There is also a classic Aussi pub in Moobal.
