Crystal Creek Ranch

19 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents100 acres · Upper Crystal Creek, NSW
Welcome to my beautiful 100 acres that backs on to Springbrook National Park. There are crystal clear freshwater creeks. Most campsites next to the creek. The property is mostly natural bush with some cleared patches for camping and horse grazing. The road entering the property is damaged due to the resent rain and you will need to drive through water. Most cars are safe but if you have a low set car or if you are delicate with your car I would not recommend. Only 30 mins from natural arch and 20 mins to great fishing and crabbing in the tweed river. Dog friendly (must be well controlled no aggressive dogs). Drop toilets and hot showers. There are 2 cabins available each with private portable toilet and hot outdoor showers. Campfires permitted ( when fire bans not in place) and wood can be purchased in advance during booking process. No fire wood to be collected off property BYO or purchase in advance. Not a place for loud music and parties, happy for everyone to have fun but noise is restricted. If you are a disturbance to other campers you will be asked to leave without a refund. PLEASE READ THE CANCELLATION POLICY CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING!!!

Jandarra, Tallebudgera Valley

7 sites · Lodging, Tents135 acres · Tallebudgera Valley, QLD
Jandarra Farm offers a comfortable and peaceful camping experience on a working farm in the Gold Coast hinterland. Certified through Ecotourism Australia, Jandarra’s goal is to model and inspire responsible ecological stewardship and foster harmony and creativity to build a regenerative and abundant future. Unfortunately, camping will cease on the 24 December 2024 when the property will be prepared to handover to new owners. We welcome you to come stay before then. Jandarra means 'place of peace' and we honour this by having a maximum of 6 campers at a time. Guests can visit the rockpool, take a self-guided walk through the rainforest, book a sauna (see Extras), and enjoy a conversation around the campfire under the stars (BYO firewood or see Extras). Take a short, hot shower with a view of the hills, toilets and a camp kitchen (no microwave or fridge) inside a rustic barn with tables and chairs. Starlink is the newest additon to the farm though may not have coverage in the camping areas. Telstra has some coverage. The 135-acre farm in Tallebudgera Valley is home to cattle, chickens, worm farms and bee hives, plus local wildlife. Guests are invited to learn about regenerative agricultural practices such as how Jandarra is managing cattle to build soil biology and rebalance nature, using holistic management practices - moving the cattle every day using electric fences (to replace the predators) and small paddocks (26 of them actually). EXTRAS - We offer a range of Jandarra Experiences including: - Pop-up trailer, BYO linen (fully set up on arrival, sans linen) - Lomi Lomi massage at a time to suit you (See notes in Extras - $125 for 90 mins) - Infrared sauna (See Extras - $30 for 30 mins for one or two guests. Turned on at agreed times by host and guests) - Firewood from farm $15 per crate - Jandarra organic eggs $11 ECOTOURISM CERTIFIED CAMPING Jandarra is one of two Hipcamp sites to be certified through Ecotourism Australia. This certification assures travellers that they are booking high-quality eco experiences. Our goal is to model and inspire responsible ecological stewardship and foster harmony and creativity to build a regenerative and abundant future. There are many places to wander, sit and listen. Over 90 bird species have been listed here. Jandarra is a registered Land for Wildlife property and we ask all guests to be mindful of wildlife and farm animals when moving around the property. SUSTAINABILITY The caretaker of this property co-founded "Boomerang Bags", a not-for-profit organisation raising awareness of plastic pollution through community engagement. There are over 1200 communities globally diverting material from landfill and creating habits of reuse rather than single-use. Therefore, drumroll...please bring reusable rather than single-use (eg beeswax wraps instead of cling wrap, real containers rather than takeaway) and take home any rubbish (you won't find any bins except for the food scraps). ABOUT REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE Jandarra is the 40th property in Australia to undertake the Ecological Outcome Verification (EOV) Process through the Savory Institute. EOV was developed in collaboration with leading soil scientists, ecologists, agronomists and an extensive network of regenerative land managers around the world. EOV is a practical and scalable soil and landscape assessment methodology that tracks outcomes in biodiversity, soil health, and ecosystem function (water cycle, mineral cycle, energy flow and community dynamics). Jandarra has 10 Short term monitoring sites plus one long-term monitoring site. By recognising both land regeneration targets and trends, EOV endorsement is bestowed as long as land health moves in a net positive direction with the third year monitoring event in April 2023 confirming the positive trend. We believe EOV gives the land a voice and through this process, provides us with feedback to make better management decisions. We welcome a conversation and to share more information when you visit. THINGS TO DO NEARBY - Walk the Ocean Track at Burleigh Heads National Park and cool off at Echo Beach - 3 km walk, swim and picnic at the scenic Gorge Falls (end of Tallebudgera Valley) - Stock up on supplies at the organic food pantry and organic sourdough bakery in Burleigh - Dine at cafes and restaurants such as Parlour (the closest decent coffee), Wazen Japanese and JFK Italian, less than 15 minutes drive from Jandarra. *No smoking or vaping on the property, please. *If you have a larger group wanting visit, please contact us directly.

You will notice the energy shift into the safe embrace of our land, protected by Springbrook Mountain. The location of the Treehouse was chosen by our then young children. We all fell in love with the magnificent camphor laurel tree growing at the edge of the seasonal creek. We all found ourselves drawn to that place, so with the help of our friends and our children we began the project of manifesting a dream into a reality - the dream of living in the tree canopy. As we worked on the Treehouse, the design was constantly changing. The whole family, especially our youngest son, contributed to the manifestation of the dream. During that time we overcame many obstacles and found solutions to build in the tree. It was an adventure, a lot of fun and we learnt a lot. Cabins near Gold Coast guide

Overview

Sun, sand, and surf rule the strip of Queensland known as the Gold Coast, the classic Australian vacation spot. Although it's best known for its high rises, camping getaways are becoming ever more accessible, meaning you can pitch a tent or park your van and spend a night under the stars in the region’s many beauty spots. Whether you’re here for the entertainment, surf breaks, or national parks, you’ll find plenty of options, ranging from sprawling coastal holiday parks to secluded glamping in the remote backcountry.

Where to go

North Coast

If it’s the Gold Coast theme parks you’re here for, stay as close as possible to the action by staying in Helensvale. Those looking to escape into nature can enjoy the unspoilt beauty of South Stradbroke Island. As you can only reach the island by boat, Tipplers, North, and South Currigee campgrounds are limited to tents only.

Central Coast

To stay close to the surf breaks, shopping strip, and entertainment in Surfers Paradise, consider the Southport area, home to many family-friendly spots. Just down the coast, more campgrounds are tucked into the sand dunes of Miami.

South Coast

The southern coastal communities of Currumbin and Coolangatta each offer inviting stretches of beach and laid-back vibes. You can soak up authentic Aussie surf culture in Coolangatta, home to the epic swells of Kirra Beach, and enjoy watersports and hiking around Currumbin. Just over the New South Wales border, you’ll find more campgrounds with direct beach access.

Hinterland

Swap the coast for the wild beauty of the Gold Coast Hinterland, home to Lamington and Springbrook national parks, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites where you can explore ancient rainforests. Nightfall Camp offers a secluded wilderness getaway in Lamington National Park with extras comforts—this luxury glamping experience features safari tents with bathtubs, fireplaces, rain showers, and organic meals. A more basic experience is on offer at The Settlement, Springbrook National Park’s only campground: This small site is a short walk from Purling Brook Falls and has just toilets, drinking water, and barbecues facilities.
