Charleys Creek Campgrounds

Want to save! Book direct via our website. Charleys Creek Campgrounds, Chinchilla (previously known as Clover Hill Camping) is a unique campground right on Chinchilla’s doorstep. Set on 35 acres on the banks of Charley Creek, it has a beautiful bush land setting adjacent to the creek. A truly tranquil experience.
Recently rebranded the name to Charleys Creek Campgrounds as it is more fitting, as there is no clover, not much of a hill, and not in America (Ranch).  This will also tie in with our other entities - Charleys Creek Beef and Charleys Creek Brewing.
We have a number of projects on the go and planned for the Charleys Creek entities to make every stay a unique and authentic experience. "Not just a campgrounds, its the experience".  You are welcome to visit us, get to know us, and be part of our journey. 
This campground offers toilets, showers, access to potable water, and power hook ups. Open fire pits, and fire wood available. It is a dog friendly property.
The story of Clover Hill Ranch-
In 2019 our livestock enterprise was struggling with the ongoing drought. Water was getting very low and we were buying hay from Victoria.
One day while checking stock on our grazing property Bradys (adjacent to Clover Hill Ranch) we looked across the near dry creek and said to each other - if we are going to endure this drought we need to do something different.
So we were able to acquire Clover Hill Ranch which was then being run by the CMCA under a lease agreement to the then owners. Then Covid struck and the CMCA left Clover Hill Ranch.
So we took it on ourselves and it has been a journey managing our four farming blocks Riverleigh; Coleridge; The Shanti and Bradys as well as Clover Hill Ranch.
Fast forward and it is now April 2021 we absolutely love it;
enjoy chatting with Campers about our story and we have even organised a Farm Tour route through all of our properties. The feedback has been amazing.
We are continuously doing improvements to Clover Hill Ranch with many new Powered Sites with town water and new campsites right on the creek. And everyone loves it when we bring out our trailer mounted meat smoker to put on a smoked Wagyu feast!
Campers can purchase our Wagyu and Grassfed Angus beef to try while camping and can even buy some to take home.
Activities available at Charleys Creek Campgrounds, Chinchilla:
include camping; fishing; kayaking; motorbike riding; bird watching
and bush walking.
There is accessibility for RVs, camper trailers, caravans and big rigs. Pull through bays available. Camping in tents is allowed. It is walking distance to Chinchilla town centre and Lions playground. Farm tours available upon request. Bookings preferable in advance to avoid disappointment.

FigTree, Irongate

Stunning, well kept 140-acre property with elevated country views, wicked sunsets and beautiful night skies ! We can assure you of a quiet stay with no crowds - we love this place and we're sure you will too. There's plenty of room for Caravans, RV's and Camping.  We welcome Aeroplanes too !

Our silo bar is a great place to gather at sunsets and also doubles as a camp kitchen.  We have 7 fire pits on the property including 2 in our remote area that is designed for fully self sufficient caravans. 

Campers have access to our ammenities (2 toilets and a shower) which are always kept very clean.  Easy access for all vehicles.  

Taking out 2nd place for Glamping in Australia a couple of years ago  - it's completely unique and perfect for couples all year round! 

We have a 400 mtr grass airstrip and welcome fly-in visitors (Reference OzRunways “YFIG”). Strictly by arrangement.

Firewood is available to purchase. 

NOT suitable for children or pets due to lots of wildlife, dense bush and no internal fencing.

Chinchilla Country Camping

We have 5 regular campsites. Suitable for any vehicle, tent, camper trailer, caravan. Campsites are on the lawns, access toilets and showers available. You don't need to be self-contained here. Grey water to septic system. (NO SEWAGE DUMP)

30 acres in a bush setter 2kms north west of Chinchilla. The property has beautiful green lawns and an amenities building with private bathrooms. Children are welcome and we are Dog friendly!

Please note: we only take one vehicle & caravan per site. If you have multiple vehicles, please make a separate booking.es.

Brady's Bush

If you like bush camping you'll love this spot. Creek frontage. Bush camping. Bring everything you need and leave no trace. Ideal place for bird watching or fishing. Very close to town, but you wouldn't know it.

Buy wood in advance as an extra when making your camp booking.​

Rubbish to be taken with you.  Leave site clean and tidy.

Guests must be full self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure.

Campfires are welcome in the fire pit provided.

Pets are allowed on leash. 

LeJackz!!!

LeJackz has a quiet forest feeling and is secluded. LeJackz runs stud Bazadais cattle on the property. There is a natural spring and rock pools in Elva's creek, but is not running at the moment. At Le Jackz you come to relax and unwind and allow nature to be your therapist.The property is located near Maclagan, a small town situated at the foothills of Bunya Mountains National Park. The majestic Bunya Mountains were formed 30 million years ago and thought to be the remains of an old volcano. The national park features both wet and dry rainforests, grasslands and open bush supporting a diverse range of plant and animal species. From December to March, Bunya pine trees drop cones containing edible seeds known as Bunya nuts. For those keen to do a bit of site-seeing, there is an abundance of nature walks, cycling, historical tours in Toowoomba and Dalby. NOTE: dry weather access only. Plan B can be Quinalow caravan park if need be.
