Our 31 ha property has mowed, grassy camping areas surrounded by lush rainforest. The property is large providing quiet surrounds for you and your family to enjoy while relaxing after a day of adventure. Enjoy the breezes, toast marshmallows and listen to the sounds of the tropical rainforest. The campsite is located 13 minutes from the coastal town of Innisfail and scenic Etty Bay with its peaceful beaches. Cairns CBD is also only a 1 hour drive. Friendly wallabies and tropical birds also like to share this delightful property with our guests and the occasional cassowary may also pay a visit. Nature lovers will certainly appreciate this picturesque location. If you love adventure, Garradunga sits on the doorstep of many beautiful outdoor adventures. Hike in the surrounding national parks; cycle or mountain bike on one of the many rainforest trails; fish or spot crocodiles in the Johnstone River – take a crocodile cruises; white water raft along the exhilarating Tully River; take a dip at the Babina Boulders or Josephine Falls; or snorkel the Great Barrier Reef. Set up camp and use the property as your base to explore the Cassowary Coast, Atherton Tablelands and the Great Barrier Reef. Toilet and shower facilities are available (please supply your own toilet paper). The property has limited tank water only. Guests must also bring their own drinking and washing up water and must take all waste with them upon departure. Fire is allowed only within existing firepits. Other existing on-site facilities (including water) are not available to campers at present however we look forward to sharing the facilities and other accommodation options with you soon. Our 20-acre exotic fruit farm backs onto World heritage rainforest and provides a relaxing base for which to explore the wet tropics south of Cairns. We have a beautiful freshwater swimming hole down the road, and also the Mulgrave River is very close if you want to do some fishing.The camping area is large, grassy and reasonably level, with space closer to the tree line, and space more out in the open. There is a firepit provided, and plenty of firewood around the place for you to help yourself to. We also welcome four-legged family members! We have had recent sightings of cassowary on our property so keep an eye out, you might just see one!We prefer self-contained campers, who have their own amenities, but we do have a toilet and shower up at the main house (about 50 metres away) you are welcome to use if needed. This is an unused bathroom downstairs so you will still have privacy. Access into the property is not suitable for large motorhomes. Entry will be too small for vehicles approx 8.5 metres long and 3.5 metres high.We grow exotic fruit on the property including limes, pomelos, mangosteens and more. When it's in season, you're welcome to sample some! Gordonvale is the nearest town, with a quiet historic charm, just 15 minutes drive away, while Cairns is around 25 minutes.

Kingston Road Farm Stay

Camping in a quiet, peaceful rural location with lots of space, at a small private vegetable market garden and hay farm. You can base yourself on our property while making trips to nearby Mossman Gorge, Port Douglas, Daintree National Park, local beaches and other attractions. We offer sites beside a vacant farm cottage and hay shed, or a choice of other areas around the farm. Campers have use of spacious, clean amenities with hot shower, toilet and vanity. In the drier months, from April to December, we bale our pasture, and grow mixed vegetables and flowers to supply our roadside market stall in Mossman on Wednesdays each week. Campers can join in whatever we are doing at the time, stand by and watch, or just sit back and enjoy. Our farm also offers unique elevated views of the local farming area with a backdrop of The Great Dividing Range, the Coral Sea and Port Douglas. There is also an impressive variety of butterflies and bird life to enjoy. Hosts are happy to show campers around our market garden that we start cultivating after the wet season and usually continue until December - weather dependant. Guests will have access to a portable fire place during their stay as well as a BBQ grill and hotplate. Firewood is available for purchase. We have electricity available from the vacant cottage at $20/night. Must be booked through Extras. Our 150acre property has spectacular mountain views, as well as views to Port Douglas and the Coral Sea. There are small creeks on the property that attract birdlife and have a variety of freshwater fish and turtles in them. Nearby there are several larger creeks for cooling off, and properties with horses, cattle and sugarcane. We are a 15min drive to Mossman, the closest town, and 45mins south to Port Douglas or north to the Daintree township. You can take a shortcut to the road to Daintree via the WWII Japanese Miallo Bombing Memorial. Sorry, no pets.

All Terrain 4x4 Park Aka Low 4 Adventures

Unfortunately due to the extreme weather events from Dec 2023, the park was significantly impacted and therefore remains closed. Thank you to all those people who have offered to help, but being a NFP organisation we are not in a financial position to fix the access roads and tracks at this point. The creek access has changed and this impacts on our ability to source water. Coming into the fire season adds another risk so it really is a double whammy! Thank you again for the offers of support. We are a group of like minded 4WD people who enjoy the great outdoors. The property provides tracks for driving, catering for different levels of experience and a large, flat area has been cleared for camping with ammenities. There is the added bonus of a seasonal creek for cooling off, scenic views and still only a one hour drive from Cairns. Mareeba is nearby for shopping essentials and the like, and places of interest such as Davies Creek and Granite Gorge are also nearby. The property is only available certain dates of the year - please check the calendar for availability or contact us if you have a special request. In the event that you have a minimum of 4 vehicles, subject to our availability we are flexible and may operate outside of our designated camp dates with notice. Twitcher's Hill camping area is situated on a quiet road, away from noise. Guests can pitch a tent or park their accommodation and enjoy the morning chorus of birds while breakfasting with a stunning mountain view. We have an outdoor septic toilet and guests will have access to a fire pit during their stay, along with spring water, tennis court and swimming pool. Telsta has coverage in this area and the closest convenience store is 14km (Nine Mile Store) or Woolworths shopping centre, Mossman 25km. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash whilst on the property as we have chooks and cattle. Our property is suitable for a quiet, relaxing, nature lovers get away, 450m above sea level at the northern most end of the Atherton Tableland, offering an ideal relaxing climate.

Our 20-acre exotic fruit farm backs onto World heritage rainforest and provides a relaxing base for which to explore the wet tropics south of Cairns. We have a beautiful freshwater swimming hole down the road, and also the Mulgrave River is very close if you want to do some fishing.The camping area is large, grassy and reasonably level, with space closer to the tree line, and space more out in the open. There is a firepit provided, and plenty of firewood around the place for you to help yourself to. We also welcome four-legged family members! We have had recent sightings of cassowary on our property so keep an eye out, you might just see one!We prefer self-contained campers, who have their own amenities, but we do have a toilet and shower up at the main house (about 50 metres away) you are welcome to use if needed. This is an unused bathroom downstairs so you will still have privacy. Access into the property is not suitable for large motorhomes. Entry will be too small for vehicles approx 8.5 metres long and 3.5 metres high.We grow exotic fruit on the property including limes, pomelos, mangosteens and more. When it's in season, you're welcome to sample some! Gordonvale is the nearest town, with a quiet historic charm, just 15 minutes drive away, while Cairns is around 25 minutes.
