Compost toilet, hot bush shower and rubbish/recycling facilities. We are a small hobby farm with Bee Hives, Dogs, Cats, Chickens (a few roosters) horses, cows and a couple of pet pigs. We are located just 35 mins from Caloundra and 45 from Maroochydore. We are close to Australia Zoo, Ewen Maddock Dam, Maleny and Glasshouse Mountains. Enjoy mountain walks and cycling. Thursdays to Sunday the Coffee Shop is open with ample space on the Deck for breakfast or lunch and catch up with family and friends, or meet a new face. Our venue and campgrounds are situated at the old Jimna State School property. The school closed in 2009 with the last students attending in 2006. It was then sold by the Qld government and has been rezoned as a Camping, Recreation and Events Venue. We have retained all the old school facilities for our campers to enjoy. There is a children’s playground and multi-purpose tennis court for everyone to enjoy. We provide tennis rackets, balls and basketballs free of charge to our campers. There is also no charge or fee to use the court. On most Sundays afternoons (weather permitting), we have social tennis where everyone is welcome to join in. The old school toilet blocks have the addition of hot showers and all toilet facilities are the flushing type. Campfires are permitted and there are small mobile fire pits provided so wherever you set up camp you can have your campfire right beside you. Note: There are no ground fires permitted and at certain times of the year Qld Rural Fire brigade may enforce a total fire ban. We have our “Caffeine Injection” kiosk on-site for the weekends and school holidays. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash and under owners control at all times. Campfires are allowed in the fire pit provided and firewood is available at a small additional cost. Our venue and campgrounds are situated at the old Jimna State School property. The school closed in 2009 with the last students attending in 2006. It was then sold by the Qld government and has been rezoned as a Camping, Recreation and Events Venue. We have retained all the old school facilities for our campers to enjoy. There is a children’s playground and multi-purpose tennis court for everyone to enjoy. We provide tennis rackets, balls and basketballs free of charge to our campers. There is also no charge or fee to use the court. On most Sundays afternoons (weather permitting), we have social tennis where everyone is welcome to join in. The old school toilet blocks have the addition of hot showers and all toilet facilities are the flushing type. Campfires are permitted and there are small mobile fire pits provided so wherever you set up camp you can have your campfire right beside you. We have our “Caffeine Injection” kiosk on-site for the weekends and school holidays. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash and under owners control at all times. Campfires are allowed in the fire pit provided and firewood is available at a small additional cost. The property is a short 5 min drive from the Kirkleigh boat ramp and 20 min drive from the spit. If booking the Ski Shack you have most of the comforts of home in the spacious open plan living, with a bathroom and kitchen. Plenty of room to park your boats, trailers, and caravans. The kids can run around and play till they are exhausted. The courtesy bus from the Exchange Hotel will pick you up and drop you off Friday and Sat nights,(check before hand). You will need to take your rubbish with you when you leave. Fires only in the supplied enclosed fire pits. Fire wood is sold at various locations not far from the property. Gate code will be provided after booking is confirmed. For those camping or caravanning, there is power available for all the luxuries you may need weather camping or in your RV. Plenty of room to park your boats, trailers, and caravans. The kids can run around and play till they are exhausted. Connect with nature and our wildlife, located on a picturesque 5 acre property with forest and dam views, very private, adventurous and romantic getaway for couples or friends. Solar powered eco cabin, requires 4WD to access. Top of property parking available for 2WD cars, requires approx. 100m walk to cabin. (luggage trolley available). One small well trained dog welcome, no dogs on furniture inside the cabin or extra cleaning fees might apply. Enjoy the serenity, forest, creek, fire pit, watch the kangaroos and endless bird life from the outdoor daybed and cabin or a indulge in a relaxing soak in the hot tub. (Hot tub is about 50m away from the cabin, bit closer to the house as solar power would not cater, its private with amazing views. Needs to be pre-booked 24 hours in advance to allow heating) Only short drive of the highway, close to Pomona, offering a wide range of cafes, restaurants, Distillery, Saturday markets, Majestic Theatre, best pub with regular live music and all other essential shops.

Frankie is a cool and comfortable caravan with all the amenities you could ever need to immerse yourself in nature! Its a beautiful property with a private sauna and thermal bath while enjoying the natural views. Suzanne is a warm and caring host, making sure we were well looked after. We felt totally relaxed after spending 2 nights there!

Absolutely gorgeous spot for a getaway and chance to unplug from the world and relax. Would highly recommend bringing a bunch of board games, a nice puzzle and face masks for the ultimate relaxing experience. Just note that the suite is attached to the main house and you will need to walk past their front door to get to and from. But Rose and Russel are lovely and the suite still felt private.

We had a great 3 nights staying at the Shack and it was incredible and will be a memorable one for all of us including little kids. It was very comfortable stay for us. This property had everything ( except stove in kitchen but bbq setup outside), including a lot of toys for kids to play. We will visit again this place in the future during Spring season. Thank you to the host Sean for making it a better one.

3 nights at GG's Ranch & Retreat
My family and i absolutely loved our stay at GG's ranch. We spent four nights over the Christmas period. The cottages were clean and rustic. Large modern bathroom was a bonus. Kitchen was well equipped to cook up our Christmas feast. Our grandson and pets loved the wide open spaces. One of our highlights was sitting on the deck each morning and watching the many black cockatoos flying over. We would love to return one day.

It is barefoot luxury; the perfect blend of what both campers and comfort-seekers dream of… beautifully crafted rustic spaces immersed in nature, paired with thoughtful touches that make the stay feel truly special. It is the kind of setting that slows you down, fills your lungs with fresh air, and leaves you with memories that linger long after you leave. There was even some unexpected entertainment courtesy of a cheeky local bush turkey and an early morning visit from a kangaroo family. A beautiful and peaceful space with everything you need. Well equipped kitchen, comfy bed, vege garden, birds, frogs, privacy. I loved using the outdoor bath. Bathroom and toilet spaces are very functional and clean. I love that there is no phone service, beautiful space to connect with nature. Used herbs and lots of beautiful spinach from the garden. Kenilworth and Imbil towns 15 minute drive, and can get service there if you need. Glen and Dominique are friendly and respect your privacy. Thank you so much guys.

This is such a lovely and thoughtful hip camp. Our hosts were lovely and welcoming. The came is private, and serene with outdoor bath tubs and shaded spots. We've stayed at many different "glamping" accomodations and this certainly can hang with the best of them. It's close to Brisbane, good value and very comfortable. Highly recommended.

What a beautiful slice of paradise. This cottage is completely private and very quiet. If you are looking to get away from it all this is your place. The cottage has such charm and character and it was so lovely reading the story of the cottage history and all the environmental considerations both when building the cottage and ongoing. We had some lovely feathered and furry visitors which added to the charm and the provided bird seed for the cockatoos was a great touch. We had a very comfortable relaxing stay and will definately be back.

We enjoyed a lovely stay at dragonfly cottage. It has everything you could possibly need and the kitchen is very well appointed. The bathroom and outdoor toilet is very luxurious and we felt like it was a hotel standard of bathroom. It was a very hot weekend but luckily there was a fan in the cottage that ran off 12 V power so we managed to stay cool at night. Perfect for a couple, I think it might be a stretch with more than two adults. Glen was very communicative and helpful. We would definitely consider coming back.

Beautiful location to rest and recuperate. Lou goes out of her way to communicate prior to your arrival to confirm your needs such as additional food packages or dietary requirements. She and Greg were there to greet us on arrival and show us around. The amenities are clean and have all the creature comforts for a relaxing stay from slippers and bathrobes to bath salts, and a selection of hot beverages with choccie bikkies. Pro's - Lovely hosts who have made an effort to create a relaxing private space. All cooking needs were provided for so you only need to bring your own clothes. Comfortable bed. Beautiful views out to Glasshouse mountains. Shaded areas provided to relax. Hubby is already planning on buying a hammock it was so comfortable! Con's - Relatively close to neighbours (albeit that the site is designed so that you can't see them and vice versa). Some road noise from trucks at times but lots of bird life to focus on instead. Not much to do unless you hop in the car and drive somewhere however Lou has made an effort to include some games and also directions to waterholes. If you just want to relax and read a book like us - perfect. Overall a very enjoyable stay and lovely thoughtful hosts.
