Crystal Waters Cabin is a cosy, private, renovated cabin nestled in the heart of Crystal Waters Eco Village. Set amongst an abundance of native wildlife, the Cabin is the perfect place to relax and unwind or get out and explore the surrounding natural beauty. 'Crystal Waters Cabin' is one of the original dwellings built on the Crystal Waters Eco Village community, it was built back in 1980 in the 'hippie commune' days, but Crystal Waters has since evolved into a thriving 'Eco-Village' community. The Cabin gradually fell into a state of disrepair in the 2000's but has now been lovingly restored and renovated to both maintain its original rustic character while also incorporating all of the modern comforts and conveniences. The Cabin is one large studio style room that is divided into two separate spaces - combined kitchen/dining and bedroom/lounge. There is one queen bed and a comfy pull out sofa bed that is suitable for up to two young children as long as they don't mind sharing! The Cabin has a full cook's kitchen including fridge, gas stove and oven and dishwasher. There is a large north facing deck and a covered patio that opens out onto a large flat paddock, surrounded on all sides by pristine native forest. The Cabin has a beautiful outdoor bathroom with instant gas hot water, the shower looks out into the lush gardens but also affords total privacy. Crystal Waters is the perfect place to take a break from technology, having little or no mobile phone service on the property, however, with the flick of a switch you have wifi in the Cabin to use your devices and there is a wall mounted 40 inch flat screen smart TV with Netflix, etc. Crystal Waters is a prolific and thriving wildlife retreat and the Cabin is surrounded by an abundance of native animals and birds. Watch as the local mobs of kangaroos and wallabies graze at your doorstep every day and awake in the morning to a beautiful chorus of birdsong.

Just 1.5km from the farm (on Morden Rd) you will find the 161km Rail Trail for bike riders and walkers. A few mins down the road you can enjoy walks with llamas at the Ottaba Llama Walk farm. When in town why not visit the architectural award winning Condensery Art Gallery which used to be a Nestle condensed milk factory.

For those liking the comforts of home we have a bunkhouse which sleeps 10 and has electricity, water, flush toilet, shower, stove, microwave and TV. Linen is not supplied. If you are driving 2wd, or 4wd towing a caravan or a big trailer and GPS takes you through Mountain View rd., do not go that way, go through Dayboro rd. For those without transport Dakabin train station is 25 min from the farm. Pick up and drop off to the station can be arranged. There is a wide variety of shops and restaurants less than 10 min away.

“Spiddal” Yore Road Tamborine Q 4270 6 min to Shopping Center 40 min to Brisbane & Gold Coast 15 min to Tamborine Mountain The cattle camp area 1 hectare is located on the Spiddal property. Shaded with gum trees with boat ramp & outdoor fire pit, floodlit on 16 acre lake stocked with native fish, red claw, rough 2 hole golf course. The cattle camp name was given to clumps of trees purposely left after clearing for weather protection for horses, cattle and farming activities. Your Property Spiddal property 500 acre at the base of Tamborine Mountain. Spiddal was originally settled by Michael and Anne Yore (nee Ryan) in 1865. Both Michael and Anne emigrated from Ireland as a result of the potato famine and uprising at that time. Anne sailing on the Erin-Go-Bragh (Ireland forever) in 1862 and Michael on the Fiery Star in 1863. On Michael's death in 1912 the farm passed to the youngest son Andrew Thomas who died at a young age of 33 in 1916. The Spiddal property was then held in trust until his son Thomas Patrick (TP) became of age in 1935. In 1966 TP transferred title of the property to the present owner Thomas John (TJ). Tom's son Denis 5th generation resides on the property and assists with the running of the farm. From settlement in 1865 the farm has been used for Primary production mainly dairying, pigs, hay and grain activities. After dairying ceased in 1970 the property has been producing beef cattle, turf and hay. Irrigation is a major activity on the farm with 4 electric pumps connected to 5 klms of underground mainline allowing the entire farm to be irrigated. On farm storage dam's 1 x 6 acre and a second 16 acre surface area have virtually drought proofed the property. In 1982 an Extractive Industry permit (mining) was obtained from local Council. In 2013 the Queensland Government Mining Department placed a Key Resource Area condition over the Spiddal property ie. mining over virtually all of the property. TJ had this area reduced significantly to approximately 130 acres thus leaving the property not sterile after mining which is estimated to continue for approximately 75 years. The resulting void from sand mining will be used as a water reservoir for primary production for future generations. The original Inhabitants that occupied the Tamborine area were the Wangerriburra Native tribe. They lived in peace with all the tribes adjacent to their own area. More importantly they were prepared to be friendly to the white man in the early stages of development, with respect shown by all. After continuing contact with the white man the tribe became commonly known as the Albert tribe. Guest Access The building comprises an outdoor entertainment area, ablution block and 2 bedrooms. The 2 bedrooms are air-conditioned with double queen size bunks and trundle with built in wardrobes, dressing table, TV and ceiling fans in each room. Entertainment area with wheelchair ramp access, power outlets for camping. To ensure you have the entire fenced paddock to yourselves we have listed it as one site. It is a flat shady site with an undercover bush kitchen and fireplace. There is also a seasonal creek with many species of wildlife. Located close to popular tourist locations - Mooloolaba Beach, hinterland, The Big Pineapple, Aussie World, Australia Zoo (all within 20 min drive). Guests will have access to a toilet and shower during their stay. We have cattle on the property so please ensure gates are kept closed at all times. Kangaroos are regularly sighted on our property. Price is per person so please include the correct number of guests in your booking. We only take one booking at a time so you are guaranteed exclusive use of the site and facilities.
