Walking tracks and great for bird watching and searching for wildlife. Large open area for outdoor activities. Bush kitchen with wood stove available for use. Large picnic table and fire pit for communal use. We offer small group camping or exclusive whole-site booking for Cheriton Bush Camp. No chainsaws to be used on the property. BYO fire wood or we can supply 15kg for $10. Personal fires permitted but above ground fireplaces must be used. We have a small amount for hire for $5.00 each. Generators permitted between the hours of 7am and 9pm only. Pets allowed but need to be on a lead at all times. Unisex flushing toilets with non-potable water. Must bring your own drinking water. We have a Beach Volleyball court, basketball hoop and swing set. Lots to see in the area. Hillview Drive Mountain Bike Trail and Brisbane Valley Rail Trail are a short walk/bike ride from the property. Canoe/Kayak entry point to the Brisbane river off Kholo Road (5km) Our price of $25.00 per site is aimed at two adults and up to three children. Each set up (tent, van or vehicle) is a separate site. The property used to be a 30-head horse stud in the late 90s, but as the old folks got older and hung up the saddle and whip, it has been allowed to age gracefully. After taking over the property a few years ago, I have been slowly breathing some life back into its soil and cleaning out the old weeds (literally). Both sites are close to beautiful dams in the true Australian bush, with huge gum trees for shade and natural beauty for days! Guests must be fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. Campfires are welcome in the fire pit provided. Pets are allowed on leash.

Christmas Creek Cedar Cabin is a Tiny Home in the Scenic Rim. Positioned on a hill above Christmas Creek to take in the views, were you can watch the sun rise over Little Widgee Mountain and the sun set over the mountains to the west. This fully contained cabin is approximately 30 square metres and features a small veranda out the front facing Little Widgee Mountain and Buchanans Fort. Sit back and relax on the bench seat or table and chairs. A larger veranda out the back faces Christmas Creek and the mountains to the west. Relax on the deck chairs and read a book, or sit at the bar and enjoy a drink while watching the wildlife. There’s a table with chairs to enjoy your breakfast or dinner outside.The loft bedroom has a queen bed. There’s reverse cycle air conditioning to keep you comfortable. The kitchen is self contained with a small microwave/oven, a 60 cm ceramic cooktop, a medium size fridge/freezer, a toaster and kettle. The lounge room has a couch, 40 cm TV with DVD player, small table and chairs. There’s no free to air TV channels available. BYO DVD or there’s a small selection available. No Wi- Fi There’s a small firepit and chairs in the yard to enjoy the sun setting over the mountains and stars at night. The cabin is a few minutes drive to the creek where you can go swimming. Relax on the sun lounge listening to the birds sing and Christmas Creek flowing by, or enjoy a Scenic drive or bushwalk in the local area. Christmas Creek Café is just down the road. Phone reception is available at the cabin if you’re with Telstra. The property is 2WD accessible, but I recommend 4WD in wet weather No pets please.

Great location for groups/families.. Plenty of space between sites and very peaceful. Porta-loo and bins available. Owners were very friendly and came every day to check supplies in toilets and empty bins. Great creek for kids to swim in with turtles but path down can be tricky and slippery.

We loved our stay at the camping ground. We were the only ones there for 2 nights it was exactly what we needed very peacefull, toilets were very clean and camping grounds were kept mowed and tidy. The host Samantha was very lovely and nothing a bother. Would highly recommend staying here. Janine.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely loved our stay at Oxley View! The views were stunning and the whole place was so peaceful—perfect for relaxing and switching off. The owners were friendly and attentive without being intrusive, which made us feel very welcome. Swimming in the creek was incredibly refreshing, and kayaking was a great bonus. A beautiful spot we’d happily return to and highly recommend.

Sites are well maintained with fire pits, rubbish bins and the best stocked Porto loos we have ever come across. Bit of a climb down to the swimming hole so keep that in mind, and non slip water shoes are needed.

Nice spot along a running creek swimming area was great for us and our dogs. Quiet and spacious. Only thing I would say is our site didn’t have any grass cover and was all mud compared to other sites. Other than that it was a good spot.

Amazing spot! Campsite 5 is our favourite Hipcamp site yet! Secluded, enough shade, well maintained and the creek is crystal clear and deep enough to take a dip. Doggos loved the open field with more than enough space to go crazy! We have already rebooked for the next availability. Can’t wait!

Such an amazing spot. My partner and I booked last minute and Chris was extremely accommodating to us. The river that runs through the property is absolutely beautiful so we enjoyed a few swims in here. (Definitely recommend bringing a floatie) There are only a few sites available so we were all spread out and had plenary of space. We will 100% be back. Thanks Chris!
