Fun Mountain

Hosted by the caretakers Jake and Claire,
Fun Mountain is a 54-acre property with three dams in Glenview, Sunshine Coast - 30 minutes from the beautiful beaches of Caloundra.

It is surrounded by State Forest and offers some great bushwalks. We have some flat areas, perfect for camping, and then plenty of terraced or hilly areas to explore, with some spectacular views out over the Sunshine Coast.

Campfires permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place. Dog friendly. There is tank water but we'd advise you to bring your own.

Access is via a gravel road. Due to recent weather events, an SUV or 4WD vehicle is required to access the property. Ok for caravans (flat area on entry to property) but you'd need a 4WD for the hill site turn around area.

Please do not follow the GPS to get to old Caloundra Rd, come off Steve Irwin Way to access the property.

The Rustic Resort Wamuran


 4WD accessibility only. The only exception to the 4WD accessibility is the 'Dam at the Rustic Resort' as it has a separate entry gate.

 If wet, please engage 4WD and stay out of the ruts. 

We are a 90acre private property who raise cattle and goats and have opened up to campers who, like us, prefer and love, peace and nature. 

We have all of our sites on Booking request ( Reserve). Please check that you are ok with our property rules before you book.

If you are one of our valued regulars, thank you, we love hosting you on the property and always look forward to see you again. If your preferred site is not available , shoot us a message , we  may have an alternative for you:)

Our rules are really not rocket science, don't take things that are not yours, use the toilets instead of our bush, don't cut down trees or damage things, that includes damaging trees, don't leave anything but ash in the firepit ,make sure the fire is fully extinguished, remove your rubbish and respect and consider your fellow campers and our neighbours. 

Axe throwing has recently become popular within the city, if you must try it on the property , bring a board, our trees are not to be used as targets. 

Stay out of our gated paddocks. This is for Biosecurity and your safety.

 If you are first time campers on our property, this is our philosophy.

 We are trying to create peace and tranquility that people crave so much when they get out of their busy lives.  We are not the place for rowdy parties or large groups  ( unless you would like to book out the entire property)  

 Most of our sites are nestled on different levels between trees and bush  so you will feel like you are the only ones there. 

You are welcome to have a campfire in the provided fire pit or drum when there is no fire ban in place, however due to the unique surroundings we offer, we  do require you to be extra vigilant with fire safety.

You are most welcome to use your own off the ground firepit anywhere in your site. 

Please read site descriptions carefully as we have sites that are substantially different in access, privacy , level ground and distance to a toilet. 

We affectionately call our property "The Rustic Resort". This is a tribute to the rusty water tanks and dilapidated animal shelters that were left behind when we moved in. Our farm was once part of a thriving rural property in the 1920's. It used to be a dairy farm and then a banana farm. We now raise goats and cattle.  

Our property is dog friendly to responsible dog owners, we are happy for your pups to be off lead as long as you are the one in control. 

We have a large farm dam that never runs dry, (NO fishing please as we use this for livestock and swimming, and the last thing we need is hooks in peoples or animals feet. )

 It is wonderful for a refreshing swim, there is a ladder to make it easier to get into the dam and during the summer months there are floating noodles for your use. Feel free to bring your paddle boards  and canoes.

We are centrally located to explore the Glass house mountains ( 20mins), Stoney creek (15min), Rocky holes (35min), Bribie island (40 min), Woodford (10min), Mt Mee (10min), Montville, Maleny (40min) and much, much more.

We are 10 minutes from Woodford and the wonderful Woodford Folk Festival.

"White Ridge Farm" in Elimbah  is only 20 minutes from us, and the kids will love the interactive farm experience and cuddling the baby animals. 

Wamuran town centre has has an IGA, a wonderful butcher, bakery,  bottle shop,  24 hour servo, a rural supply shop,  fish and chip shop, a new pizza place and a Thai/Indian take away that is sensational.

Wamuran holds a local country market every 4th Saturday per month from 7am to midday.

There is a Woodfire pizza van in town  2 out of 4 weekends, look up Deadwood Pizza Wamuran to check the dates. We love them.

If you would like to stay longer but feel like you need a shower occasionally, there is a public pool in Woodford and a public pool on King Street towards Caboolture , both are about a 10/15 minute drive from us. 

Wamuran is less than an hour north from the city, yet you will feel like you are far away.

The Mango Patch

All sites have a maximum capacity of 4. Adjust your booking to the correct number of people, additional guests @ $10.00 EACH. One car is allowed per booking.

Beautiful quiet acreage in a semi-rural area amongst pineapple and macadamia farms only a few minutes from Glass House Mountains Village, Beerwah, Landsborough and Australia Zoo. 

No tent or swag camping. We only welcome self-contained motorhomes, caravans and camper trailers (No toilets provided).

The property offers easy access through a remote gate and is fully fenced. The beautiful beaches on the Sunshine Coast, Maleny, Montville and Hinterland hot spots are all within 30 minutes from the property.

Enjoy a campfire in our designated area when restrictions are not in place.

Small quiet dogs welcome by prior request and must be on a lead.

Riverdell

Riverdell is 166 acres located on the eastern side of the Blackall Range extending down to the Mooloolah River headwaters. Escape off grid to enjoy the peace and quiet, watch the cattle grazing in the paddocks, spot the native birdlife or cuddle up by the fire in your own secluded paradise.

Sunrises are spectacular while sunsets by open campfire are also a highlight of the Riverdell experience. Take a short walk up the creek, west of The Junction carpark above the camp site to see some scenic rockpools and waterfalls in the cool of the rainforest canopy.

There is plenty to do and see in the area including exploring nearby Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve, Gardeners Falls, Kondalilla National Park, Australia Zoo, indulge in a tasting at the Barrel at Clouds Vineyard opposite the front gate, stroll through Maleny Botanic Gardens & Bird World or take a short drive to some of Australia’s most beautiful beaches.

Access during daylight hours via 4WD ONLY with AT or MT off-road Tyres, RT Tyres are not permitted due to the steepness of the tracks. Off-road camper trailers are suitable for some campsites (max weight 1500kg and max length 5m restrictions apply).  Caravans are not permitted due to the steep terrain. A Portaloo is within walking distance to The Knoll, Upper Plateau, Valley View and Little Bunya campsites, otherwise your camp MUST be self-contained. Riverdell is dog friendly, off leash if trained, and recommend tick treatment before arrival.  For safety, no arrivals after dark unless arranged prior.

Centrally located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast , just 10 minutes to beaches, and 20 minutes to Montville. Come and enjoy all the Sunshine Coast has to offer.Totally secluded and private with a beautiful scenic outlook. Camping:Can accommodate up to three caravans or camper trailers. Powered sites with En-suite.We only take one booking at a time, so You can enjoy the space on your own or share with family and friends.Totally private, powered site with panoramic views. Ensuite with claw foot bathtub, shower, toilet and vanity. Bar fridge, fire pit, shelter with picnic table. Share the site with family and friends. Children 5 and under stay free. Children 5 to 16 are $10 per night. Can accommodate up to three tents, camper trailers or caravans.(We only accept weekly bookings during school holidays.)Happy Hut:Located in the heart of the Sunshine Coast enjoy the peace and tranquility of the countryside while being only 12 minutes to local beaches, Happy Hut is a unique camp site featuring a bamboo hut with wood fired oven, wood fired pizza oven, gas cooker, large fridge/ freezer, sink with running water. Fire pit. Under cover area with lounge and coffee table. The camp site also has an ensuite with hot shower, flushing toilet, and vanity. There is enough room for 3 to 4 caravans , camper trailers or tents. We only take one booking per site suitable for up to 12 people.
